Located in the heart of Venice, a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and its characteristic market area, this bright and fully furnished apartment has recently been completely renovated.
E 'with fine finishes, hardwood floors and a kitchen full of light and fully equipped kitchen, with views of a typical' calle '(street) Venetian.
The bedroom has a wardrobe and a double bed, while the room is furnished with comfortable sofas, LCD TV and a sofa bed; windows overlooking Campo San Silvestro, in a quiet and peaceful environment, ideal for a relaxing holiday.
The apartment is located a few steps from the vaporetto stop of S. Sylvester and close to the main areas of interest of the city.
We stayed two nights here with 2 young children (8 & 9 years old). There was plenty of room for everyone, and the apartment was clean and well located near the Rialto Bridge/Market, Grand Canal, vaporetto stop, and places to eat & shop. Our search criteria for apartments included wifi, but there is none. We were also expecting a washing machine, but it could be that we read the listing incorrectly or that the listing has since been updated. Giuseppe was a good communicator, and even though he was out of town, he arranged for Deborah to meet us at San Silvestro. We would stay here again for the location, but for five stars we recommend adding wifi, adding pot holders and towels to dry dishes, and removing the broken bialetti (happily there was another bialetti, but we only discovered it after we had a spill with the broken one). We also recommend replacing the small bench in the bathroom with a taller shelf and some towel hooks. We washed socks and undies in the sink, so a clothes drying rack would have been very helpful too.
My 17 year old daughter and I stayed at Guiseppe's apartment and absolutely loved the location! Only 30 seconds to walk with suitcases from the vaporetto stop to the apartment! And literally less than 3 minutes from the Pointe Rialto!
The apartment looks brand new and the remodel was done very nicely. There is a lot of space! No AC but the breezes in Venice do not necessitate AC. Leave the windows open and enjoy the breezes of the most beautiful city!
MANY places to get any meal, and due to the very close proximity of the Rialto Market, easy to shop for meals to prepare at the apartment.
Giuseppe is a doll to work with, so we highly recommend staying at his apartment.
My only warning is there are 47ish steps to climb to reach the apartment
This beautifully updated apartment provided exceptionally easy access to the Main Canal. The neighbors and local shop owners were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Venice.
Our family of 4 rented this apartment for a couple nights in Venice. The location is perfect as it's right next to the San Silvestro Vaporetto line #1 stop. It's really close to Rialto bridge area which has a combination of local life and tourist places. We felt safe to walk around late and there is a grocery store and several restaurants close by. You can walk to San Marco in 15-20 mins or ride several vaporetto stops. The place is clean and well stocked. Shower is hot with good pressure. Bedroom in main room is comfortable and the 2nd room/living room area has 2 sofas and 1 double bed already made for my kids. Overall we were satisfied with the rental esp. given the great price and perfect location. The only major issue we have is that it would be good to have air-conditioning which I know it's not a typical need in Europe. However, even the place is in residential area, there seems to be people walking by till late like 12:30 and 1am talking or singing....and there is mosquitoes too which didn't make us sleep too well when we leave the window open during hot summer nights (could be just our luck of the heat). The owner seems very nice and efficient when we exchanged emails and certainly a pleasure to deal with.
Stayed 4 nights with wife and 2 young kids Oct 2012. Apartment was more than big enough for us (and for the kids to run around). Great location - easy to find, less than 1 min from public boat transport (vaporetto) San Silvestro. Very central, within walking distance (even for young kids) are great coffee shops, grocery stores, cheese & meat dellis, a large market (fresh fish & veg) as well as many tourist attractions and cothes / art shops. Rialto bridge 3 mins walk. Apartment was spotlessly clean and modern. On top (third) floor which gave nice views over the square. Giuseppe is very friend, speaks perfect english, and was very helpful - his local knowledge was invaluable. Have recomended to family and friends.
