Ideal location for hiking and sightseeing in the Cantabrian coast full of history, art, fishing villages, mountain landscapes and important cities of Bilbao and Santander.

In Castro Urdiales is the largest Gothic church in the region, the Church of Santa Maria, dating from the thirteenth century and has all the characteristics of classic Gothic building. Inside, it houses magnificent carvings of the thirteenth century to the seventeenth century, an outstanding collection of works of jewelry of late Gothic and even a picture of Christ crucified Zurbarán.

Next to the church is the medieval castle, massive fortress overlooking the sea access, converted lighthouse in 1853. United by a medieval bridge, is the hermitage of Santa Ana near the breakwater.

great stay

The apartment is clean, easy to find (just off the highway) and quiet. The ktchen has all the basic needs. The parking spot and elevator made things much easier. There are several grocery stores nearby, within walking distance. We traveled with young kids, so walking to the city center was not an option but parking was easy to find. We were too busy discovering the area to have the kids enjoy the parc or pool in the complex.

It's a great base to visit the region. Gorgeous beaches, beautiful towns, we will return.

Fantástica

Estancia perfecta, el apartamento tiene todas las comodidades necesarias y cocina totalmente equipada. Lo que mas me gustó fue su ubicación para conocer Cantabria y el País Vasco por su proximidad al acceso a la autovía.

Una estancia perfecta...

La verdad es que el apartamento está muy, muy bien. No sólo en cuanto a que está completamente equipado, sino que además, tiene unos extras importantes: libros, música, películas... También hemos disfrutado de la piscina, usado el garaje, etc. Todo ha sido perfecto. Es un piso muy acogedor, moderno y práctico. El trato muy agradable, por supuesto... El apartamento está como nuevo, todo perfecto, no falta de nada. Muy acogedor. Muy buena ubicación. Garaje con acceso directo piso por ascensor, genial. Joselu es un tío muy majo y agradable. Volveremos a Castro Urdiales y a alojarnos con Joselu.

Un très bon séjour

Un appartement très agréable et bien situé pour les visites.

Entre Bilbao et Santander une très belle région à découvrir.

Nous avons bien profité des plages de castro-urdiales.

A noter que c'est une ville charmante.

Point positif : la piscine en co-propriété et le supermarché à proximité.

Point négatif : le manque de vaisselles.

Et pour finir, un propriétaire très gentil qui nous a vraiment très bien accueilli.

Je recommande cette location.

Et encore merci à José Luis pour son accueil et sa gentillesse...
