Beautifully updated house in a charming town
Zandvoort is a lovely town! This apartment obviously has had a lot of love put into it in recent times, as it has been beautifully updated. The kitchen and bath feel new. It has a 4-burner gas stove, oven, nice sink, single cup coffee maker, teapot, and toaster. There are table settings and a kitchen table for 4, along with a number of spices and gadgets that might be needed. The bath has a shower, a large mirror and sink, and two large drawers under the sink for toiletries. There is a small washer but no dryer. The living room is open to the kitchen/dining and has a large comfortable sofa and TV with DVD player. The two bedrooms are up steep stairs which would be difficult for older people and toddlers. At the top of the stairs are two single beds. Past those is a good size closet for hanging clothes, followed by another bed area with a double bed, separated from the other bed area by a curtain. Just outside the door downstairs there is a small courtyard that could seat 4, and is a nice place to linger in the morning or evening. A huge nature park is a 5 minute walk away, filled with grassy sand dunes dotted with small trees, ponds, and people walking their dogs. Just beyond that, separated by a wire fence, is apparently a wildlife preserve filled with deer and rabbits. The beach is about a 10 minute walk, and the train station about 15 minutes. Comfortable trains run to/from Amsterdam every 30 minutes and it is about a 25 minute ride, so this is a fine place if you want to tour Amsterdam but stay in a quieter, more scenic area. The beach is wide with nice sand but of course the water is very cold year-round. There are numerous restaurants on the beach. I understand the beach is very popular on nice summer weekends or holidays, but it seems like there should be room for everyone. We felt very comfortable and a bit in luxury in Lilo’s place and would definitely stay here again.
thank you for these praising words. always good to hear if guests have had a nice time at Lilo’s Place.
Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Willy has it decorated very well. Highly recommend it!
Fabulous house in a very convenient location.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was so pretty, with plenty of downstairs space to relax. The upstairs bedroom area is accessed via a very steep staircase, which added to the cute & quaint flair of this house. I would highly recommend a stay here.
The shops are just a few minutes walk, and the many beach cafes are nearby. We’d love to come back for longer.
Hi Kim and family,
thank you for your positive response. I hope your stay was special and hope to receive you again soon.
Nicely restored in a nice area
It is a beautiful cottage near all that matters - the beach and the central zone.
thanks Niel 👍🏻
best place to be
A delightfully pretty, well appointed house in a quiet street. Wonderful welcome from the owner. The house was perfect. 10 minute walk from the station so ideally located to visit Amsterdam. The house was lovely and warm on what turned out to be a wet and windy week. Beds were comfortable and the house immaculately clean. I see from the visitors' book thy have lots of repeat visitors, which is a testament to how lovely the house is. We would happily return.
Thanks for the lovely words
