Quayside is a truly unique ultra-modern apartment located in a renovated Grade II listed building that has been transformed into a luxurious loft style retreat with every conceivable luxury. Located on the wharf at the head of the Penryn River, this stunning property is perfectly positioned to enjoy the local facilities in Penryn, the beautiful beaches of Falmouth and, of course, the exceptional sailing waters of the Fal Estuary.

Quayside sleeps six in three luxurious bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and the added benefit of 2 reserved parking spaces. The exterior of this harbor side property retains the original charm of the old warehouse fused with a high-quality contemporary interior. A former Bone Mill built in 1843, the warehouse had been derelict for years. The recent renovation has brought this historic building back to life in spectacular fashion, and has resulted in one of the highest quality holiday lets that we have ever seen.

The private entrance with video security leads into a large hallway. The high ceilings and exposed stonework mix perfectly with the retained original features of this unique property.

Programmable LED mood lighting, SONOS music system, computer-controlled central heating with contemporary wall-mounted radiators and engineered Oak floors ensure maximum comfort at all times, and really set the scene for a truly luxurious holiday experience.

A bright hallway opens into the vast open plan living area,. This room really is the heart of the building. The lounge area has a huge comfy sofa, a 50” flat-screen TV with DVD player, and a music system wired to play your iPod all around the apartment. WiFi allows you to update your envious friends back home with details of your Cornish adventure. The exposed stone walls include a full-height fireplace.

Prominently displayed throughout Anchor Warehouse are many striking original artworks from local artists, each helping to create the ambiance of your very own private gallery.

The high-gloss Seimatic kitchen has Corian worktops, plenty of storage, a tall fridge / freezer, Siemens double oven and dishwasher – everything and more that you could possibly need in a self-catering apartment. Add in a dining table and chairs for 6 and a breakfast bar, and you begin to understand the uniqueness of Quayside.

The master bedroom has a super-king sized bed with electric adjustment for maximum comfort! The spacious fully tiled en-suite spa wetroom has high-quality contemporary fittings, while the large walk in shower is perfect for washing away the sand from the nearby beaches. Luxurious bedding and fluffy towels are provided for guests.

The second bedroom has a super-king sized bed and a large walk-in wardrobe, while the third bedroom has a standard double bed. These two bedrooms share a comfortable family bathroom, again fully tiles, with over-sized walk-in shower and ambient lighting.

From the exquisite original pieces of artwork to the state of the art lighting and sound systems, Quayside retains the interesting architectural features of the original building elegantly fused with thoughtful contemporary designer furnishings. This is no ordinary holiday let property - we were blown away by the standard of renovation and decoration. An amazing old building that has been transformed into a chic apartment, we could hardly bear to leave. Needs to be seen to be believed!

Amazing warehouse conversion - we loved i

We thought Quayside was amazing. The old warehouse building is very impressive and it is obvious that no expense has been spared on the conversion. The kitchen puts my own at home to shame and the bathrooms are very smart too. Big comfortable beds and everything extremely clean.

Definitely not your average holiday let apartment, more like someones own home with fancy LED mood lighting. The kids also loved the huge TV, hard-wired iPod music system and games console.

The location was excellent, several great shops, cafes, pubs and galleries on the doorstep, and the centre of Falmouth was a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk. We enjoyed a very relaxing week here and did not want to go home. We will be back!

Glorious Cornwall

Quayside was the ideal place to explore the beauty of Cornwall. It was very spacious and decorated to a high standard. All the beds are soft and comfortable, the orthopaedic one was a treat. Our guest and selves thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend this property, when you first enter it has the WOW factor.

Falmouth is home to Cornwall's National Maritime museum and its 'surfs up', 'Titanic' and other special exhibitions. There are network of passenger ferries that will transport you past wooded creeks, quaint villages and pretty hamlets to St Mawes or Truro along the Fal and Helford Rivers. There are diving and sailing schools, yacht charter, skippered cruises, water sports centres with equipment for hire and local fishing trips.

Falmouth's beaches, Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, Castle, Tunnel and Maenporth all have lovely white sands and there is also a rural beach at Kiln Quay. Opposite Swan pool beach there is a tranquil nature reserve teaming with the local wildlife.

The Fal estuary has played a major role in our nations defense dating back to Tudor times and Henry V111's castles at Pendennis and are open all the year round. Renting a holiday cottage in Falmouth allows you to visit the subtropical valley garden at Glendurgan and also Kimberly Park, Queen Mary Gardens and Fox Rosehill Gardens. It is also convenient for the other popular gardens of Cornwall, such as Trebah, Trelissick, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

The Princess Theater has a year round music, drama, festival and variety program, as does the theater at the Poly. Falmouth art gallery is family friendly, free and has one of the most important collections in Cornwall. Truro has a theater and nightlife venue at the Hall for Cornwall.

Falmouth has an abundance of hotels, restaurants and cafes offering a variety of Cornish and international cuisine made from local produce and seafood, not forgetting the Cornish pasty.
