This cozy and romantic 65 square meters apartment is located on the top floor of an ancient building in the heart of Trastevere. The flat is bright and elegant and has been furnished with distinctive refinements: the cotto tiles floor, the beam ceiling and the fireplace create a warm atmosphere. It comprises a large living room with dining area and sofa bed for two, a fully-equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and bathtub. There is also a small balcony. The apartment, even though is located in the heart of Trastevere, is very quiet. The modern furnishing is perfectly combined with the classic style of the environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful little apartment.
It is very cute and holds a family with two smaller kids easily (the couch folds out into a smallish bed).
The place is incredibly quiet — especially given that it is in the heart of a very lively part of town. However, you've got to be comfortable with lots of stairs and very low ceiling height in the kitchen. Also, light tends to stream into the main room in the morning so it isn't great for people who need absolute darkness to sleep.
We'd highly recommend this apartment and will come back when we visit Rome next.
We loved our little apartment! It as exactly as described! The location was perfect. We enjoyed many of the bars/restaurants which were right out of our front door! We used the driver they suggested. He was waiting at the airport for us and called Mario to let him know that we arrived. The air condition was exceptional-it was very hot while we were there, but we stayed cool. We didn't do any cooking in the kitchen, so we can't comment on that. We would stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends!
My husband and I stayed in this lovely apartment for eight nights at the beginning of May. We both loved it and the neighborhood, it was perfect for two adults. We found the positive reviews all to be extremely accurate, as are the photos. The mattress was comfortable, and we had plenty of hot water. In fact, the plumbing was excellent. We did get some water on the floor from the shower, which is always the case in our experience anywhere in Europe. It really was true that the apartment was quiet even with very loud crowds outside in the street below. There was a binder full of instructions and local information provided. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly.
The only things which are not entirely clear from the reviews were that there are almost 60 steps up to the apartment from the street, we didn't forget our sunglasses more than once! And if you're 5 foot 10 inches (our heights) or taller, you will be bumping your head a lot: in the shower, going onto the terrace, and definitely in the kitchen. We tried to learn from our experience and ducked a lot. We look forward to our next visit.
We had a fantastic trip to the eternal city thanks to the lovely folks at WeeKey rentals. Lucrezia was extremely helpful and prompt in her responses to our questions, our trip planning and extra accommodations we requested throughout our trip. She responded immediately to all our inquiries. The apartment itself is charming and spacious. We were expecting it to be much smaller and were pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness. Raffele greeted us upon arrival, acclimated us and extended his warm welcome and availability for the duration of our stay should we need anything.
Discovered near the end of our stay a few fabulous restaurants near the apartment. Dar Poeta was by far the best pizza we ate in Rome, La Isole Sicilia an adorable eatery featuring Sicilian cuisine when looking for something a bit different from the traditional Roman fare. Across the Tiber in the Ghetto, Nonna Betta a delicious restaurant as well the artichokes were amazing. Aperol Spritz's at Sotto's rooftop bar around the corner from apartment on the square at the foot of the Ponte Sisto and gelato every night at Rustago where we became friends with the adorable Ukrainian girl serving. All places within a short walking distance from our apartment. Will definitely be back and rent this lovely space again. Thank you WeeKey!
Location right next to several nice bars, restaurants and small markets. The apartment is very quiet despite being close to a lot of late night hangouts. Upon arrival, Massimo, the manager, was extremely helpful and provided us with a map and suggested restaurants and places to visit. Understanding how small apartments are in central Rome, the place is actually good size especially for 2 people. The kitchen is a bit small but well supplied for cooking.
This is an unbeatable location in a gorgeous area of Rome in a Classic Italian apartment. Everything one would need is available and Massimo and Lucrezia were happy to accommodate special requests. It is a charming, wee little apartment and the bed is incredibly comfy.. Our biggest challenge, combined with the wonderful area nightlife, was waking up before noon!
Things are small, be aware, but not so much that you don't appreciate the charm of using space to its fullest and appreciating the culture. The ACs were super powered for warm days, and kept us more than comfortable in the evenings. Our cute little terrace, while without view, gives a lovely way to enjoy the waning evening sun.
Trastevere becomes UNBElLIEVABLY crowded at night with a vibrant nightlife that continues well into the early morning, but incredibly, we could not hear a single sound in our lovely quiet apartment
While Rome seduces with its extraordinary monuments, Trastevere captures the traveler's heart. It is the most authentic and characteristic District within the Historic Center, the perfect place to glimpse the old world while enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. Often described as Bohemian, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to the old, narrow, winding, cobblestone streets. Homes decorated with flower boxes and clinging ivy interlace with coffee bars, restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.
The apartment is located in one of those small streets, next to the river and few meters away from the Tiberina Island. Thanks to its strategic location, you can reach within walking distance many astonishing places such as Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Imperial Forum, the Coliseum and the Spanish Steps. Following the river Tiber for 15 minutes you may reach the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. Passing through this magical place, senses are pleasantly awakened with every step.
