About hugh burn
Hi, I'm Hugh Burn. I am 51 years old, married with 2 boys aged 10 and 12. My school was Wellington College in Berkshire. I am from Windsor and I am a Blue Badge Tour Guide. I enjoy spending time with my familly, cycling and being on the river.
hugh burn purchased this Apartment in 1997
Why hugh burn chose London Borough of Croydon
I bought this enormous house at auction, 20 years ago, because I saw it and the area's potential to do well.
100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
All was as advertised
Just a few tiny niggles:
The shower pole was loose from the wall
Sink in the bathroom was not flowing very well
I made an error on the booking form regarding dates. Totally my fault. However it did concern me that no one had come to clean and change the bed linen ready for the two young ladies who arrived on the day we were supposed to be out. My daughter and I did the best tidy and clean we could as we vacated. The incoming guests were very considerate and kind but if I had been them, I think I might have been rather cross.
Apart from this mix up and the little niggles, I would use this property again.
Overall satisfied but few serious concerns
1. Owner must contact Google maps and get house address location be fixed in their system as currently GPS will take you to a nearby football arena and during late hour arrival, it is very difficult to locate actual house. Also if Uber or cab is called they are not able to arrive at physical location.
2. The smoke alarm in the room have been made dysfunctional by wrapping a plastic bag over it which is illegal and very dangerous action. In case of fire, people staying in that room can burn to death while asleep without any warning.
This is a serious offence to temper with smoke alarms.
I have removed the plastic bag from the smoke alarm. I don't know how it got there but I am grateful for it being brought to my attention. I have checked the address on Google Maps and it is completely accurate.
Very clean, great for two people.
Residents were helpful and warm. Easy access to central London and Croydon.
Perfect for a stay close to London
This was our 2nd stay in Norwood. Everything clean and tidy, easy access to food shops, overground station etc. We had a car and provided you can parallel park it was easy to find somewhere free not too far away. The studio had everything needed and was a great price for us. We are staying again in the summer.
Great location, easy access to London and public transport
Super value studio. Less than 10 minutes from train station and closer for buses. It had everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable. Good shower. Just what we wanted. Hugh was easy to contact. We’re already booked in to stay again.
Cosy and warm place. Great location
We loved our stay in the property. Was really good you can that they also allow pets. Highly recommend.
