Kona Isle is a small ocean front complex located one and a half miles from the little town of Kona-Kailua. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, fastidiously maintained and very quiet and tranquil. A perfect location from which to explore the Big Island.
Located on the second floor corner of an ocean front building, the condo offers sweeping ocean views, as well as quiet and security. Enjoy meals on the lanai using the completely furnished kitchen or watch the sunset as you BBQ at the waters edge. Watch whales and dolphins jump just off shore, swim in our heated pool or enjoy the adjacent salt-water sea pool.
The bedroom has an extremely comfortable king size bed and there is a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room. There are cooling ocean breezes and ceiling fans for comfort as well as AC available
The remodeled bathroom provides a walk in shower as well as an exterior window for ventilation.
There is secure high speed internet in the unit as well as free local and long distant calls to the mainland and Canada.
The town of Kailua-Kona about 1 and 1/2 miles away offers restaurants, groceries and shopping opportunities. There are many golf courses on the island and Royal Kona Resort has tennis courts available. One of the best snorkeling areas in the islands is a short 2 mile drive south.
I hope you enjoy my little slice of paradise as much as I do.

I am a Walnut Creek, CA resident who enjoys escaping the Bay Area for respite in Kona-Kailua.
Ann Oliver purchased this condo in 2004
We had enjoyed vacationing at Kona Isle many times and when this ocean front second floor unit became available, we jumped on it. The condo had been recently remodeled, but we have continued make upgrades. We recently installed a granite countertop in the kitchen. The washer/dryer are relatively new as is the refrigerator.
I frequently play tennis at the nearby Royal Kona Tennis Club. We also like walking to local restaurants for breakfast or lunch, but find we most enjoy BBQing oceanside at our complex for sunset dinners.
We take much pride in our condo and endeavour to maintain it so that every guest finds it more than satisfactory.
"A very excellent condo & a most interesting island= a very wonderful vacation.
Thank you so much for sharing your Hawaiian home with other people. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay...."
We had a wonderful restful time for a month at Kona Isle. The condo was well equipped and very comfortable. The condo has an ocean view, you are right there, and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep at night. The pool is great and the lounge chairs on the sand by the water was very restful and great for reading a book in the late afternoon. Picnic tables and 3 great barbecues were also down by the ocean for your use.
The grounds were well taken care of and the birds were around to greet us in the morning. We had a great time and would love to return and rent the same unit again.
We spent five delightful nights in this property. Our favorite feature was the balcony with the fantastic view of the ocean and the sound of waves lapping the shore. We liked the location--near Kailua-Kona but not in the center of it. The condo has all of the comforts of home--fully functional kitchen, washer/dryer, nicely appointed bathroom, and wi-fi. If we come back to Kona, we will see if this property is available. Thanks, Ann!
I enjoyed my stay at this 1 bedroom apartment right on the ocean! The unit is comfortable and has everything you need. The building grounds are VERY well-kept. You can go to the oceanfront area and barbeque (there are even picnic tables!) or just hang out on a lounge chair and watch the beautiful sunsets!
It was a quiet condo complex. The pool was very nice if you don't feel like driving to the beach. There are several beaches just south of Kona Isle, also it's not far to Kona for shopping and dining. The condo itself was very well equipped with beach towels, chairs, cooler. Everything you need to take to the beach was there. We cooked few meals, the kitchen had everything we needed. We didn't use the AC since it wasn't that hot. The fans were enough to keep us comfortable.
If you plan to visit the Kona area of Big Island we hope you will be able to stay at Ann's splendid vacation home! This spacious, spotless, lovely condo is part of an incredibly well-kept, manicured property with a gorgeous pool and lots of direct ocean views. This is such a peaceful, tropical location, yet it is Central to all the Big Island has to offer! We have visited all the islands Hawaii many times and this has proven to be a most enchanted stay Thanks to our stay with Ann Oliver! Hopefully we will be able to stay with Ann again in the future!
This second floor condo had every thing we needed for a relaxing vacation on the Big Island. The bed was very comfortable and the sound of the crashing waves lulled us to sleep. The condo is Ocean Front with an unobstructed view from the living room and lanai. Never turned on the A/C - used the ceiling fans, kept the windows open and lowered the lanai shade during the day. Kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed the man made beach right by the ocean, sitting on the chaise lounges under the coconut palms, then watching the beautiful sunsets with a cocktail every evening. There is a nice BBQ area and picnic tables down there too. The condo manager keeps the grounds immaculate. The complex is very quiet. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time, and the pool was never crowded. A short drive takes you to the Magic Sands Beach, Da Poke Shack - (the best poke ever) and the KTA grocery store that had everything we needed (great recommendation by a local). We enjoyed dining in as well as eating out several times at the restaurants at the other end of Alii Drive just a few miles down the road. Favorites were Huggo's and Jackie Rey's for dinner, and breakfast at Island Lava Java. A great day trip was a stop for lunch at Big Island Brew in Waimea before we toured the Hawaii Vanilla Company.
Ann was very nice to work with, and responded quickly. She has thoughtfully provided beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, guide books, and even first aid supplies. If you love looking at the ocean, beautiful sunsets and listening to the waves without a crowd of people around this is the place to be!
