Masmolene, we'll be back!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed in this beautiful property in June 2015. The weather was perfect, the house was perfect and the views from the terraces were breathtaking. The location of the house high above the hamlet of Masmolene meant that we were able to enjoy the sunrise and sunset each day. Although the weather was hot, we could always find shade. There is so much to do in this part of France. We planned to do so many things in advance, but frankly we enjoyed just going in to either Uzes or St. Quentin de Poiteries each morning to the market, stopping for coffee, then returning to enjoy the afternoon by the pool. However we did manage to have days out kayaking in the Gorges du Gardon, Nimes and Pont du Gard. But it was equally enjoyable just driving around the local villages, stopping off when the fancy took us.

The house itself was perfect for our party , with four eating areas , each of which could accommodate ten people. Sascha, the managing agent, was very helpful and when we had a problem with the pool cover, she came around very promptly.

We all agreed it was the best holiday ever, and will definitely be back to visit all the places we missed.

Idyllic village retreat in a stunning farmhouse.

  • 5 of 5

7 of us enjoyed a fantastic break in the wonderful old farmhouse. None of us had ever visited this area of France, and we wouldn't have changed a thing. The house was ideal for our group, with its 5 double rooms, hot tub, heated pool big kitchen and living room. We found it hard to leave most days. The proximity to Uzes, Avignon and the stunning Pont Du Gard make it a fantastic base. There are local markets to explore and great restaurants to dine in. But to be honest we did find it hard to leave the house once we'd stocked up on food and drink and Bbq coals. Thanks to Kellie for her help and for making our stay so memorable.

Special and spectacular

  • 5 of 5

This is a place that exceeds expectations. We were a group of eight travelling together and it handled us with ease. There are three terraces to sit on with a million dollar view over rolling vineyards and mountains beyond. The kitchen is high end, you can dine in the dining room, poolside or on the upstairs terrace, the bedrooms are lovely, the pool and hot tub are great.

But it isn't just the house - the area is terrific. It sits at the edge of the tiny hamlet of Masmolene, but is perfectly situated for forays into Uzes (worth several visits) and Provence.

We highly recommend this place - thanks Kellie for providing a wonderful home.
