Fully renovated in 2012, luxurious, south facing balcony, quiet surrounding
The apartment is part of a monumental building with many beautiful architectural details. It has been fully renovated and elevated to today's standard of modern and comfortable living.
Next to the living room and the fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, water cooker, dishwasher) there are 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed, a bathroom with wc, bath and separate shower, a separate second wc and a separate room for the washing machine and dryer.
The apartment has a canal view from the living room in the front and a south facing balcony behind. Although the apartment is located in the city centre, the surrounding of the apartment is very quiet.
All modern conveniences are available: flatscreen tv in living room and master bedroom (with international channels), dvd and cd players and free wifi.
Possibilities to wine and dine are literally just around the corner. A large supermarket is at just 5 minutes walk. The University of Amsterdam is at a stone's throw distance, giving the area a youthful athmosphere with many young people around.
Quite a few cultural landmarks are at just 5-10 minutes walking distance. For example: the Hermitage, the Rembrandt House, the Jewish Historic Museum, the Scheepvaart Museum, the Nemo Science Centre and Artis Zoo. Nightlife is at 15 minutes walk at the Rembrandtplein. One of Amsterdam's major shopping streets, the Kalverstraat, is at 20 away.
No car needed. There is a tram stop nearby.

Very good accomodations but not great
The apartment was clean and reasonably well furnished. The second bedroom is tiny and furnished with a bunk bed which may not be suitable for two adults. Good bathroom with rwo sinks. Kitchen ok, reasonably outfitted. Very good location within easy walk of trams and metro.
One potential problem: while generally very quiet, the apartment has thin walls. One night during our stay, the downstairs neighbors’ party kept us up until 2:30 AM. Neither management nor Home Away bothered to respond to our complaint about this. Six days after checking out we are still waiting for our security deposit to be refunded,
Would we stay at this flat again? Probably,.
Cosy Apartment close to everything
A great cosy & comfortable apartment within easy walking distance to metro and trams
Excellent apartment and great location
Apartment was fantastic - Very stylish, modern, clean, well laid out with all the facilities you need. We were a family of 3 so it was nice that the apartment was lovely and quiet. Felt really safe too. Area was nice with lots of bars and restaurants close by, as well as good size supermarket. Trams and metro links to central amsterdam but we walked often. Staff managing the apartment were so friendly and accommodating. We loved staying there and hope to return. Recommend if staying a few days to buy the 24 or 48 hour adult and kids travel tickets (takes you on bus/tram/metro) from info centre at front of amsterdam central train station, or if you want to go to all the museums then buy a 'I am Amsterdam Card' which does both travel and access to museums. Great value. Can't wait to return to Amsterdam and would love to stay at this apartment again.
Amsterdam city apt
This is a charming apartment located on one of Amsterdam’s many canals. We appreciated that it was so close to the metro and other public transportation. It was beautifully decorated and well maintained, although the kitchen was lacking in a few essentials like basic condiments. It exceeded our expectations.
Cozy apartment in a quiet but convenient neighborhood
We stayed 9 nights in this apartment and really enjoyed it. The pictures are a very good representation. Very cozy and well-equipped, including the kitchen, though we mostly only cooked breakfast. I love getting apartments when we travel and this one was really nice -- the way I would furnish it if I lived there. Master bed was pretty comfortable, though an extra blanket or two of different weights would be nice -- especially because it was cold in the living room by those big drafty windows! Lovely to have an extra half bath (with toilet and sink). Wish we had that at home! Also enjoyed the big tub and separate shower and two sinks in main bathroom. Everything was very nice, very clean, and worked well. Loved having the washer/dryer, which we put to good use because we travel light. Albert Heijn (only takes cash and Maestro cards!) is about two blocks away, but there was dishwasher and washing machine detergent already there. Note that the oven isn't a "real" oven, but some kind of pseudo-microwave-oven hybrid kind of thing. The pizza we bought at Albert Heijn called for 240C, but it didn't go that high. But we managed. The Wifi at this place worked great! Blackout blinds in the bedrooms, though there is a light on the street just outside the front windows, which are only lightly covered. This light can be seen easily down the hallway and the bedroom doors have frosted glass panels, so some way to block those out as well would be nice. Cute little balcony with table and chairs out the main bedroom, but too cold and wet for us to use while we were there. There is a daycare behind this row of houses. The neighborhood was very quiet during our stay, despite being next to the University of Amsterdam. Never a problem with the neighbors and felt very safe. Not a lot of restaurants in this area that seemed worth trying other than the super delicious Bakhuys near the Metro stop at Weesperplein. And only two blocks or so from Weesperplein Metro and tram stops, as well as Artis tram stop in the other direction. Easily walkable to Rembrandtplein and other places.
Well equipped apartment
Great apartment with everything needed for week long stay. Good location with shops & cafes close by. Walking distance to most things but tram also at the end of the street. Quiet area, spacious enough for all 3 of us & great communication. Only issue I had was that the bed is too soft for me.
District of Amsterdam with many cultural landmarks (the Hermitage, Jewish Historic Museum, Rembrandt House, Nemo Science Centre, Scheepvaart Museum, Botanic Gardens, Waterloo Market, Carré Theatre, Stopera Theatre, Artis Zoo), shopping possibilities (Kalverstraat) and nightlife (Rembrandtplein) at walking distance. A youthful athmosphere with many young people around, because of the location of the University of Amsterdam around the corner. Dining and wining possibilities and a large supermarket at a few minutes walking distance. Paid parking in front of the apartment or in a garage at 3 car minutes distance. A car is not needed during the stay; there is a tram stop very nearby. See h1 www.amsterdamapartmentrental.org/location /h1 for a map of the sightseeing highlights at walking distance from the apartment.
