The apartment is part of a monumental building with many beautiful architectural details. It has been fully renovated and elevated to today's standard of modern and comfortable living.
Next to the living room and the fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, water cooker, dishwasher) there are 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed, a bathroom with wc, bath and separate shower, a separate second wc and a separate room for the washing machine and dryer.
The apartment has a canal view from the living room in the front and a south facing balcony behind. Although the apartment is located in the city centre, the surrounding of the apartment is very quiet.
All modern conveniences are available: flatscreen tv in living room and master bedroom (with international channels), dvd and cd players and free wifi.
Possibilities to wine and dine are literally just around the corner. A large supermarket is at just 5 minutes walk. The University of Amsterdam is at a stone's throw distance, giving the area a youthful athmosphere with many young people around.
Quite a few cultural landmarks are at just 5-10 minutes walking distance. For example: the Hermitage, the Rembrandt House, the Jewish Historic Museum, the Scheepvaart Museum, the Nemo Science Centre and Artis Zoo. Nightlife is at 15 minutes walk at the Rembrandtplein. One of Amsterdam's major shopping streets, the Kalverstraat, is at 20 away.
No car needed. There is a tram stop nearby.
What a great property, it was so well appointed only a five minute walk to the metro, tram, supermarket or river Amstel (central station was just 6 minutes away on the metro). Situated in a really quiet residential area close to the university with excellent cafe's and restaurants near by. We loved being able to watch the boats passing by in the evenings from the living room window. Perfect property for a family with bunk beds for the kids and an ample clean living space and even some games tucked away under the TV.
This was a great apartment for our family. The location, cleanliness, amenities, and owner/management customer service was excellent. Public transportation was close by and we were able to park our car on the street in front of the apartment. We appreciated the kitchen, bunk beds for our children, and the washer/dryer. We definitely recommend this apartment.
Wir haben eine Woche in dieser bestens ausgestatteten Wohnung verbracht. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Zur nächsten Tram/Metro-Station braucht man nur 5 Min. zu Fuss. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr gepflegt und es fehlte an nichts. Es gab einen kleinen Vorrat an Kaffee und Tee, Geschirrmaschinentabs und Waschmittel, perfekt! Die Betten sind sehr bequem.
Die Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen Quartier.
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden gerne wieder kommen!
We spent 2 nights in Amsterdam, what a great location!! Close to public transport, city centre and o so quit. A great compliment for the excellent taste of the host!

Situated in a quite and beautiful quarter of Amsterdam, I enjoyed my stay in this big and very well cleaned appartment. No doubt about the taste of the owner about the decoration, which is so beautiful.
We received good advices from the owner per email before arriving, and found free wifi available.

Die Wohnung ist in neuwertigem Zustand, sehr schön und exzellent ausgestattet. Alles war sehr sauber, der Vermieter sehr freundlich und gut hat alles organisiert. Die Lage ist angenehm ruhig. Wir haben uns dort rundum wohlgefühlt. Absolut empfehlenswert.
