Nice pool. Well positioned.
We were 4 children under 12 and 3 adults. The pool is large and clean and maintained every day. The house has aircon in the bedrooms and plenty of living space. The house is ideally placed for short trips to Bevagna, Spello, Montefalco and Assisi. The owner and her husband live next door and are helpful with ideas for things to do and any problems that come up with the property. Overall a great holiday.
Thank you very much for your kind words. It was a pleasure to know you and your wonderful ladies. Hope to see you soon!

Perfect house and place for a family holiday
The owners Agnese and Massimiliano were absolutely wonderful. They gave us lots of information of things to do in the area and helped us with reservations and bookings. The house is perfect for 8 people. 4 bedrooms with airco, great kitchen and lots of different areas to gather in and outside. By the pool sufficiënt shade and lounge beds.
Thank you so much for making this a perfect family holiday. We will definately be back.

Beautiful home, was much larger than pictures show. Agnes and Massimilano were delightful.
Villa Mattia was a wonderful 3 week holiday. Eight of us enjoyed every moment. The villa is close to many towns and the major city Perugia. Definitely need a car. Easy travel and easy posted directions around the area. Friendly and willing to help describe the hosts. Do it ! You will not be disappointed.
Thank you very much for taking the time to send a review of your stay and for such a beautiful description! It was truly a pleasure to meet you and your friends... we are very happy that you enjoyed your holiday in Villa Mattia.

A wonderful villa in a lovely area
We spent two weeks in this lovely Umbrian villa. The very friendly owners, Agnese & her husband live in the next door property which is completely separate they offered many excellent suggestions about local restaurants most of which were very good indeed and suggested that we should visit the local Di Fillippi winery which was very interesting and tremendous value for money - a tour of the wine making facilities, a large board of various local meats, cheeses & breads & 8 different wines for 15 euros each ! The house is set on a very large plot with its own impressive driveway and electric gates. There is table tennis & table football on one of the shaded terraces. The high point of the property for us was undoubtedly the very large & deep swimming pool with diving board that was kept immaculately clean. There were 6 sun beds & many recliners & tables set around the pool. While we were there the weather was very very hot as a result we were disinclined to do too much sightseeing spending many fun hours in the pool instead. Inside the house is cool and shaded with a pleasant TV area (good selection of channels) & several different places to eat both inside & out. The kitchen is attractive if a little strangely arranged. There was just about enough crockery & glassware but a few more cups & casual plastic glasses for use by the pool would have been useful. There are 3 double bedrooms downstairs one with an ensuite & 2 other bathrooms. All rooms have very efficient air conditioning units & are decorated in a quite individual & very colourful style. Upstairs there is an enormous space with double bed, a walk in wardrobe a huge sitting area with Wii & a shower room. If being picky then I would have the following suggestions : 1) there was no cleaning at all during the duration of our stay .I think that a cleaning pack should be provided with cleaning products cloths & possibly a few dishwasher tablets. I really do object to having to buy these things while away. 2) We were given a set of towels each when we arrived & these were changed at the end of the first week. I think that pool towels should also have been provided 3) I was surprised that we were not provided with clean bedding midway through. Cannara is a lovely small town with a great butcher & 2 supermarkets. It is an easy drive to Assisi, Perugia & any number of small medieval towns - including Montefaco & Spello. We had a wonderful family holiday in this lovely villa & would love to return.
Family and friends stayed one week at Villa Mattia and loved every minute. Agnese, Massimiliano and Mattia greeted us warmly upon our arrival. Agnese even brought over a delicious fruit tart warm from her oven! The location was perfect for visiting the many hill towns of Umbria. The nights were special as we could see the lights of Assisi twinkling on the mountainside so very near by.
The pool was great for afternoon swims and the cabana provided a wonderful setting for evening wine and cheesed. Cannara was a wonderful town to visit and dine in. We all highly recommend Villa Mattia.
Thank you! It was a pleasure to meet you all and we hope to see you again in Villa Mattia.
This was truly everything as described. Elegant, absolutely clean, well maintained, good customer service and certainly activities if traveling with younger children. We were 6 adults and it was extremely spacious for us. Before renting our car, we were able to walk to the nearby town for pizza and a most wonderful restaurant called PerBacco! We would most definitely recommend this villa to others. The driveway alone with its large remote controlled gate made us feel as if we were in a movie. The proximity to Assisi was excellent as well as to the other wonderfully interesting medieval towns for which Umbria is famous. The September weather was fabulous (one day rain and very cool) but otherwise swimming weather. The villa is extraordinarily maintained. Masimilliano and Agnese were great hosts and nicely accommodating. We miss it already.
