We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The property was spotless, comfortable and tucked privately off from the harbour. The manager was so helpful in making advanced reservations for us at local restaurants and helped make our stay a memorable one.
stayed here with my wife and two teenage daughters[17,13], the cottage is right in the heart of Kinsale,Fishy Fishy is next door. The cottage is spotless clean and very well maintained, and looks exactly as it does in the photos. Donna the agent was very helpful and will book restaurants or activities if you wish.
We fell in love with Kinsale as soon as we arrived, it has loads of fine restaurants, pubs, and cafes and is a great base for seeing other parts of Cork, we visited Fota island, Mizen Head, Cobh, Garretstown Beach.
Charles Fort is great to see and on the walk back you have to stop at the Bulman for a pint of Murphy's while sitting on the pier wall to enjoy the view of Kinsale.
I have already recommended the property to family,we don't hope to book House of Stanley again because we know that we definitely will.
My husband and our two boys (7 and 5) stayed for two weeks. The house had everything we needed. They boys loved their room and beds. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and strong. We were happy to have laundry, a great living room, and a patio. Parking was easy and having both a playground and restaurants steps away was great. Would definitely stay here again.
The cottage was ideal for us as we were travelling with an infant. It really had everything we needed. The property manager was great to deal with and had installed stairgates, highchair and travel cot ahead of our arrival. Definitely took the stress away of travelling with young children. A real bonus was the playground a few minutes walk from the front door in a the park adjacent to the cottage. It really kept the little ones occupied and tired them out enough so that we could enjoy and amazing lunch Fishy Fishy Restaurant. It really is as good as their reviews and just around the corner. We will definitely be back to stay at the cottage, as the house is spotless & has everything you could need. Donna also made great restaurant recommendations for the family. Jim Edwards being another favourite. For the nights we stayed in the nearby fish & chip shop or a pizza takeaway are equally scrummy. We could see why they call Kinsale the gourmet capital, as we did not have one bad meal our entire stay.
a great location, the perfect cosy cottage within walking distance of all the brilliant restaurants Kinsale has to offer. It's warm, comfortable, clean - the beds are amazing!! and right beside a health centre and swimming pool too, if you feel the need to burn off all those lovely meals out!! will be back! :D thanks Donna!

The cottage is in a central location right next to Acton's Hotel and is well equipped for a comfortable stay. The owner was helpful throughout planning and the actual stay, and the cottage was beautifully clean and well maintained. Everything was set up for our baby in advance too - baby bath, high chair, stairgate and cot with bedding. We really enjoyed our stay - the local restaurants are excellent and the nearby beaches are lovely. We were so lucky with glorious weather too, an added bonus.
What a tremendous cottage. This property provided my wife and two grown up children with the perfect base to explore Kinsale and the Cork area. The accommodation provided all the comforts you would expect from a "superior" property, and the rental process was conducted with supreme professionalism and charm. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage, and hope the next occupants enjoy their stay in this beautiful town and property as much as we did. The local restaurants e.g Fishy fishy ( 2 minutes away) The Man Friday , Dino's are excellent, and the shops and cafes charming. Excellent.
