Set in the quiet residential community of Gibbes Glade, Todmorden is a traditionally styled 3 bedroom coral stone villa, designed so that all of the bedroom and living areas can enjoy the cooling tropical breezes. Surrounded by lush gardens, the outdoor pool area is reminiscent of a tropical oasis. The villa is a 5 minute walk from Gibbes Beach, one of the best beaches on the West Coast of Barbados. The historic town of Speightstown, which offers a range of shopping and casual dining options, is just a 10 minute drive away.
The villa is comfortably furnished, with 3 spacious bedrooms featuring modern en suite bathrooms. The living room opens on to a covered terrace featuring an alfresco dining and separate seating area, overlooking the gardens and pool.
Todmorden is an excellent choice for families, or groups of friends looking for a relaxing holiday away from the crowds, but still close enough to all of the amenities that Barbados has to offer.
The Times (UK) - Nov. 2014: Todmorden was included in the Top 50 Villas in the Caribbean.
Good to Know: Located in Barbados, Blue Sky Luxury is the local owner representative for this property.
A short drive up from Mullins and Gibbs Beach. Just a short distance from Speightstown, the island’s second largest town, is a very short drive (about 5 minutes). Once known as Little Bristol because of connections to Bristol on the West Coast of England, Speightstown still has a feel of old time Barbados about it. There is a small fish market on the seafront, fruit and vegetable sellers known as ‘hucksters’ on the road side, a couple of local restaurants and bars and a smattering of shops, plus a reasonably well stocked supermarket.
The closest and recommended restaurants to the north are Mullins Beach Bar, The Terrace at Cobblers Cove hotel, Juma and Orange Street Grocery in Speightstown itself and The Fish Pot at Little Good Harbor. To the south try the Lone Star and any Holetown restaurants.
