Fly to Salento: Welcome to Salento Sunshine holiday house! This is a lovely property which dates back to the end of the XIX cent: indeed it is a first floor typical vaulted ceiling house with huge spacious comfortable rooms and a bright porch next to the well catered kitchen where you can enjoy your meals. The Sunshine house can comfortably provide lodging to seven (six+1) people. A long balcony is on the front where there are the two master bedrooms and a very quiet twins bedroom, ideal for children is next to the sitting room. Besides there is a sofa in the living room, which conveniently can become also a bed for a seventh guest. There are two bathrooms: one's full equipped with bath tub and shower and in the smaller one there's a shower and a corner for the laundry. A cosy fire place area is where you can toast your Italian holiday in a good local rosé wine, enjoying the BBQ and a fine romantic dinner by candle light, or simply relaxing by listening to music.
The Salento Sunshine holiday house is just few steps from the old centre of Lecce, where you can have marvellous walks in the tranquil and stunning Baroque art style sceneries. Fantastic small restaurants like precious stones are along narrow winding streets where guests are very welcome to enjoy delicious local food!
In addition to this, if you're food lovers or if you feel passion for cooking you may also join a cookery course... one day - hands on cooking lessons are run by Giusy (the Sunshine owner) and are available on request all year round for both children and adults.
As tourist entrepreneur, Giusy started to run her small company FlytoSalento ® in 2008, welcoming, by her own family properties in Apulia (Salento Sunrise, Sunshine and Sunset), guests from everywhere in the world, since she's fluently speaking English language. She lives in Lecce, a magnificent Baroque art styled town in Apulia, Southern Italy.
She loves art and photography in particular, taking long walks into nature, travelling and learning about other cultures and customes, tasting healthy food: at this proper, as Slow Food member, who shares the idea of 'Good, Right, Clean', she likes writing about food and new inspiring recipes.
For this reason, she is long-time food blogger and, in the years, season after season, she enjoys moulding her 'Culinary Travel Journal: Dining with Lily'® according to new tastes and to the ones coming from local tradition, in order to bring some pleasant cheerful moments of conviviality in the kitchen of her friends and perhaps by providing some good inspirations for their daily lunch or dinner tables!
Our purpose is to open the door and make people from other Countries feeling home, discovering colours, tastes, stunning sceneries and culture of Salento through the warmth and the friendliness of the people from Salento. So why not flying here in Salento on holiday? You are invited to visit our renovated FlytoSalento® properties and to contact us for booking or for more information. Thanks for your kind attention and have a nice navigation!
Lecce is a historical city in the heart of Salento and one of the provinces of Apulia region, Southern Italy. Very often it is also called 'Florence of Southern Italy', because of the magnificent Baroque art styled monuments and noble palaces you can find not only in the old town but also everywhere in Salento area. A nice stroll in the city would bring you to visit the amphitheatre in the Saint'Oronzo Square where you can stop also for having a creamy ice-cream and then heading to have a peek at the fantastic Baroque jewel Santa Croce Church and the front of Celestini Palace..at the Dome along the main shopping street..at the Castle Charles V. The city has also a long traditional bond with the Greek culture which dates back to its old origins; indeed there are suggestive tiny villages in the nearby that are identified as Grecìa Salentina, where natives still speak griko, an old language which reminds of old Greek. Lecce is also an important centre for the production of its golden extra virgin olive oil and its velvety ruby wines, Primitivo and Negroamaro, as well as its fine ceramics. The crystal clear sea of both the rocky Adriatic and the sandy Ionian coast is not very far: a pleasant driving will bring you in stunning places where you will enjoy great time in the sun and having a swim or taking fabulous pictures for your album of memories. Torre dell'Orso, Otranto, Castro, Santa Maria di Leuca, Gallipoli, Porto Cesareo. And of course there is a lot of more heading in the inland to visit very fine cultural centres like Galatina, Nardò etc. Btw, the owner of the Sunshine property, Giusy, will be at hand for any info more you need in order to have a well tailored holiday.
