Wonderful cabin. Had everything we needed. The road up to the cabin was very rugged and slow to navigate. Hard on the back :(
Dear future guest, as noted and advertised several times on the listing the road leading to the cabin is can be quite rough. It is periodically graded with a tractor and gravel added. Due to recent major flooding which even took out half of a state maintained paved road the road is rougher currently than usual. In addition to being in the age of Covid we have had many major storms with flooding and trees coming down over the entire region of late. Also as advised on the listing please have all wheel drive, four-wheel-drive and or a vehicle with clearance. Thanks so much and enjoy your time at this special place Tammy
Review of Marshall NC Cabin
The cabin was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable. It was in a great spot with the creek running below the front deck. It was peaceful and we actually liked going down that gravel, bumpy road. Very nice and peaceful!
Thank you Chris!
Me and my wife are from Florida, so what better place to celebrate your anniversary than up in the mountains. We saw tammy's cabin online and immediately booked it for our anniversary trip. The cabin was super cozy and had plenty of room, as well as every kitchen utensil you could possibly need for a quick vacation. The sound of water flowing right by the cabin was extremely relaxing (might not be to others) and to top it off, relaxing in the hot tub while it snowed outside was absolutely amazing. Me and my wife will definitely be booking with Tammy again for future anniversaries. Thanks for letting us stay, Tammy. Was amazingx especially with the snow.
Wolf Branch Seclusion
The Wolf Branch cabin is in a beautiful and secluded setting. Very comfortable and well stocked: plenty of cookware, appliances, towels and extra bedding. Tammy is a great host! She even called us on the day of our arrival to warn us about the bad roads and to let us know that we should be able to cross the river at the ford (as seen in her photos). We were there during a severe rainstorm and the creek was flooding down the road and the ford was flooding over the road; the river was over the running boards on the truck when we crossed it. We made it but definitely needed our 4WD truck. Then it snowed and the mountain was even more beautiful. We definitely enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. Our only caution is that the WiFi was not very reliable, maybe due to weather, so something to keep in mind but we were there to relax so that was just fine. We walked up the road and saw the old sawmill which was interesting. We met the neighbors black dogs who were curious and friendly. Thanks Tammy!
Perfect quiet getaway!
We absolutely loved this property. The location was just what we were looking for. It was quiet and remote. It is along a private driveway. You pass 2 houses before you get to this cabin. Yes, you can see a small part of another cabin a little further up the road, but we rarely saw or heard anyone in the 5 days we were there.
The driveway up is a little rough so I highly recommend a truck or all wheel drive vehicle. We were in a dually and the drive way was very narrow; however, we able to make it up the drive and across the bridge to the cabin. It was a very tight squeeze for us though, so a narrower vehicle would've been better.
Everything you could need (aside food) was in the cabin. She even had dog treats and towels available for our pups. We used the fireplace just about every night.
We will hopefully be back again soon!
Thanks Barbara! I also recommend that folks have AWD/4WD. Yall come on back anytime!
