Designer furnished apartment on the waterfront of the spectacular Gold Coast. The exclusive, 20-story, Colony Surf is near the base of Diamond Head Volcano and across the street from the huge Queen Kapiolani Park.

The 'Gold Coast' is world renowned for its exclusive waterfront residential buildings. The neighborhood atmosphere, quiet, and a short walk from bustling Waikiki, appeals to local residents, longer stay visitors, and executives on assignment.

Enjoy the spectacular, unobstructed ocean and Diamond Head views from the huge roll-back window of this spacious eighth floor apartment. Recently renovated in a Hawaiian-style, this vacation Condominium has new designer furnishings and appointments, including linens, towels, and full kitchen tools.

The suite is on the cooler side of the building facing south east and kitchen and bathroom facing Northwest. Windows on both the front and back of the apartment allow the trade winds to blow through, providing a comfortable atmosphere on the warmest of summer days.

I was born in Honolulu, my family has been in Hawaii for 129 years. My Grandmother was the first telephone operator at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in 1927.I have family on all the islands.What I love most about Hawaii is the local people,they are so caring.And when people come here on vacation, they are in a relaxed mood, so we all enjoy our selves in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Why Roger Lane chose Diamond Head - Kapahulu - St. Louis

I bought this apartment for my parents and rent it out when they are not here, so my guests are like family, most come back every year.

I like it because it is in the perfect location, on the beach, and a short walk to Waikiki.

The Colony Surf is the best managed building I have ever seen,24 hour staffing and it has one of Hawaii's best dining locations 'Michele's' on the ground floor, ocean view.

I have an apartment just like this for my self in The Colony Surf also.

What makes this apartment unique

I personally like the private beach for swimming and Kapiolani Park across the street for walking and running.It is soooo great to wake up to birds singing and the sound of waves.

I also love walking barefoot along the beach into Waikiki, where I can eat any kind of food in a casual style.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rogers Apartment. The suite was well appointed and very comfortable, and the owner's Oahu tips were very helpful. While staying here you are no more than a quick walk to Waikiki Beach, the zoo and the aquarium. And it only takes ten to fifteen minutes by bus to reach Diamond Head or Ala Moana Shopping Center. It is an ideal location at a reasonable price and we highly recommend it.

Beautiful Views, Great Beach, A Little Noisy

The Colony Surf beach was worth expense of the apt. I meditated alone most mornings before 9 AM with the exception of my occasional meditation partner, a Hawaiian monk seal (very rare creatures these days). Very tastefully furnished and comfortable apt, with a majestic whitewater ocean view out the right of the large window, Diamond Head to the left, and trees with condo towers beyond straight out the window. The buildings in the Diamond Head area are undergoing extensive re-contruction, also there is a private club right next door that can be a little noisy. Overall, a very healing time for me.

Perfect Views and Location

Our 15th trip to the Hawaiian Islands was our first at the Colony Surf. The location is perfect; we had a car for part of our 5-week stay, and we took THE BUS at other times. Awaking each morning to beautiful views; seated one way to see the ocean, or turning toward the Diamond Head View. Either was gorgeous! The condo was very convenient, and the 4th floor location just right for the views.

Walking down to the beach immediately below or adjacent was a major plus, with the once-in-a-lifetime experience of seeing the birth of a monk seal during our visit!!!! Spectacular to see these beautiful creatures on the beach, images captured on video and sent to grandchildren back home in Rhode Island.

I signed up for Yoga on the Beach, just a short walk into the park where our classes were held under the huge banyon trees. This was complete relaxation and restoration, looking out at the ocean while holding poses. My husband and I just adore Hawaii, its beauty and its people. We shopped for groceries at Safeway and ate in most often. We did eat out at some of our favorite haunts: Chuck's Cellar, The Chart House, Bogart's for breakfast, Taormina(other end of Waikiki). Hau Tree Lanai was a first for us, right next door, and we dined for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. The food and location are FABULOUS!!

This was our first stay on the Gold Coast, and we loved it. It is just the right mix of calm and activity, and just a short walk to the hustle bustle of Kalakaua Avenue, or what I call "5th Avenue on the Beach" The newly re-designed International Marketplace is spectacular. The Spa at the Moana Surfrider is top-notch, with gorgeous viewing and relaxation rooms. These are all within a short walk from the Colony Surf. What more can I say? The Pan Pacific Parade was beautiful and we had curbside seating after just a short walk from the condo. I didn't climb Diamond Head this time; maybe next visit!! The view is well worth the hike. Perfect Waikiki location

Had truly a wonderful vacation. The location couldn't have been better. Within walking distance of all Waikiki has to offer. Located on the Gold Coast of Oahu. Roger is a great fellow, friendly and helpful. Looking out the wall to wall window we had a ocean view to the right, and Diamond Head to the left. Location, location, location equals paradise. Can't wait to go back.

Best location in Waikiki!

This was my second stay at Roger's condo #808. It has wonderful views of Diamond Head (look out at night when the moon is over the crater) and views of the Pacific. Wake up to the sound of surf, swaying palms and birdsongs. It is mesmerizing to just sit on the window seat and appreciate the beauty. Because it is at the quiet end of Wailkiki, peace and contentment abound.

When ready to venture out, easy walk to Waikiki, Safeway and coffee shops and places to eat on Kapahulu and Montsarrat (Diamond Head Market & Grill, Ars Cafe, Ono Seafood, Haili Hawaiian Food, Yoong Cy Korean Barbecue and of course, Leonard's Bakery for malasadas, to name a few).

A favorite walk is around the base of Diamond Head. A little less than a 5 mile circuit.

To venture out, the bus is convenient and the Lyft drivers are friendly and knowledgeable.

I regret that I can't come back next year, but maybe in 2 years!
