Volcano Golf and Country Club House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5)

Volcano Cottage

On the sunny side of Kilauea volcano summit, at the Volcano Golf and Country Club, author and international Animal Ambassador, Linda Tellington-Jones’ retreat awaits you. Her plantation style, modern and comfortable home features a wrap-around lanai, offering you a full range of outdoor living and dining opportunity, amidst the peaceful sights and sounds of nature.

Our back yard extends into a 30 acre park, and all this is 10 minutes from the rain forest, with trails inviting exploration of the rare and endangered plants and birds, and 5 minutes from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

According to the National Park Service website, this park displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration, and evolution processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and clothed it with complex and unique ecosystems, and a distinct human culture.

The park encompasses 333,000 acres and ranges from sea level to the summit of the earth's most massive volcano, Mauna Loa at 13,677 feet. Kilauea, is the world's most active volcano.

Volcano Cottage is a new, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with full kitchen, wireless internet coverage allows you to work in the garden or in front of the gas fireplace, tropical furnishings in a secluded, tropical setting. You will sleep blissfully on our luxurious pillow-top mattresses.

If you love animals, Linda's library of her books and videos on Tellington TTouch for dogs, cats and horses is a special bonus. Come to Hawaii’s forest paradise and experience your renewal in the rest-place of one of the world’s foremost animal ambassadors and authors.

Excellent location

We really enjoyed our stay at Volcano Cottage. It was very comfortable for the 4 of us. We wanted to spend much of our time at Volcano National Park and it was so convenient to stay here. A bonus was the amazing breakfasts at Joan's County Goose B&B! Thanks Joan for getting our day started off great.

Volcano Cottage

Four of us stayed at Volcano Cottage for three nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. The house provided a wonderful place to stay during our visit to the Big Island. It is in a VERY quiet neighborhood within 2 miles of the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. Our first night there, we saw the smoke and glow of Kilauea from the cottage's front porch! How cool is that? With two geologists among us, it was a GREAT start to our stay in Volcano. The house is clean and kitchen fully equipped with anything you might need to prepare meals. Two full baths are great. Plenty of linens, including beach towels. Electric grill on the porch for cook-outs. Internet access if you need it, and a large tv in the living room - not that you'll have time to watch anything. Too much to be doing outside. Caught site of the endangered Nenes one early morning on the golf course nearby. Each of our mornings started with a fantastic home-cooked breakfast at the Country Goose Bed & Breakfast. It is a few miles' drive to the Country Goose from the cottage, but well worth it. Joan and her grandson Shannon provided family-style breakfasts that were delicious - fresh fruit, waffles, coffee, eggs and sausage, pancakes, strawberries and fresh whipped cream, We walked away stuffed and happy. Hosts were gracious and fun to get to know, along with other vacationers sharing breakfast with us. A great location for exploring the park - be sure to include the short Kipukapuaulu Trail walk and drive up Mauna Loa - both accessible within a short drive from the cottage. Definitely would go back and stay here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

we arrived at the Cottage after a 24-hour or so journey from Europe and immediately realized: yes, it was worth it! Directions are easy to follow, the location and tranquility of the place are exquisite, stairs to the porch invite to step into the house, which is equipped with everything one might think of wanting during a vacation and even some things more. TV, Wi-Fi, gas fireplace - everything works fine, which means you feel at home really fast.

The Cottage is perfectly located for excursions to near by Volcanoes National Park, we also enjoyed driving up to the top of Mauna Loa Rd. Finding the Volcano Winery at the end of Piimauna Rd. (open for Hawaiian wine tasting!) was another pleasant surprise. Conclusion: if ever we have a chance to come back to the Big Island we'll also come back to Volcano Cottage. Absolutely 5-Star - Thank you!

In touch with Pele

  • 5 of 5

This is just wonderful. We loved our visit here very much!!!The house ist just a delight. Everything is clean an beautiful. The fireplace is a very good place to be in the cool nights, in front of it we loved to drink hot choclate. You can see millions of stars in the night. The bedrooms and the bathrooms are very comfortable. The garden is so beautiful with all the birds and wild animals. The red cardinal was nearly tame. When we had breakfast out in the garden he came to eat granola with us.There is so much room to be inside and outside of the house and you can have fun no matter how the weather is. We will come back to write our books. It is the very best place for projects like this. There are beautiful restaurants and shops around and the vulcano national park is close by. So that you can go and visit Pele every day :) Mahalo and Aloha Karin and André

Excellent Home

Wonderfu vacation rental at a end of a quit street. We like to buy food at the farer`s markets and cook on our own. Therefore we enjoyed the perfect furnished kitchen very much. If you prefer to go to a restaurant several good options are nearby. The living room and the bed rooms are very comfortable. We were just two peolpe but as the cottage is big there is room for families. I especially like to sit outside on the lanai and listen to the birds and even observe some visiting the garden. The cottage is perfect located to visit the Volcano National Park, but also a good starting point the visit Hilo, the secnic route or South point.
