A biker's paradise retreat.
We loved Lanobre.
If you're lucky you can catch the locals having a village carnival, a great & friendly atmosphere and a spectacular fireworks display to end the evening.
During our stay we had offers of assistance from Sylvie's family and friends on places to go etc. a big thank you to all.
The property has character though some elements are on the basic level, for example the clothing storage in the bedrooms was very limited. This could be an issue for a family group, though we were fine with this.
The property over looks an orchard and the distant hills, rather than spending our free time in the pleasant back garden we opted to sit out on the pavement drinking tea (as the English do! ) savouring the view and enjoying a spot of tranquillity.
Beware of the church bells! From 7am till 10pm they chime hourly, which after the initial shock on hearing them (being from a city its unusual for us ) it added to the charm of the village.
The garage has ample room for 3 to 4 motorcycles, and the surrounding area has some great roads & views to tour, be aware though some smaller D roads are tight and knarly.
In conclusion, the property is comfortable & spacious with a charistmatic but creaky charm ( floor boards will let you know some ones walking!)
A pleasant vista to the hills.
Friendly people & stunning scenery.
A great place to stay.
