FEELS LIKE HOME
How blessed we are to be able to come to Katie's Choice two times in one year. We were in what felt like our second home. Christmas was a joy to be able to share with our family in this cheery, cozy villa. Everything was PERFECT, from the new bedroom furniture, updated appliances, breakfast on the deck, views of the lagoon, sounds of the ocean from the deck and of course the helpfulness of our hosts, Kitty & Dan. We started 2008 in your villa and spent the last 2 weeks of 2008 in your villa. We love it and hope to return in 2009 with our new grandson! Kitty & Dan, thank you for everything!
We are always happy to greet returning guests and try to do everything possible to make their stay memorable. It's so nice to have our guests remark that they feel like it's their second home because it is, in fact, our family's second home. Our grandchildren love it and we hope yours will too! Kitty & Dan
The Villa was beautiful
The Villa was very nice! It was very peaceful. And it was pet friendly! Looked like it was just renovated. Had everything you needed in the kitchen and more. We look forward to coming again! The owner was very pleasant and responsive! Thank you again Linda!
Great villa. Very clean and really confortable
Great villa. Enjoyed it very much...thsnk you..
Everything was perfect---plenty of linens---blankets(it got cold outside!)--great location!!I wish we could have enjoyed the screened porch more--but the weather was not co-operative!Definitely would stay again--
Relaxing and comfortable
Everything was as advertised We enjoyed ourselves a lot, and would certainly go again
Great villa! We loved Kiawah Island!
My family and I had a great time on Kiawah and this villa was great! It had plenty of room and everything we needed. The porch looking out at the pond was nice to sit, drink coffee and look for the resident alligator making his rounds each morning and watching the birds. There were also baby alligators that would sun themselves on the grass right outside the villa. The beach was a short walk and having a beach cart, umbrella, chairs, etc. was a nice touch. The villa is also within walking distance of Night Heron Park which had lots of activities in the evenings, especially for kids and families. We rented bikes (Alligator Bicycles will deliver and pick up for free), there's a bike rack right outside the villa, this was a great way to explore the island. We will definitely be back!
Historic Charleston is a leisurely forty-five minute drive from the island. In Charleston you can visit antebellum homes, walk the streets of an important early American port city, shop in the well-known open-air market, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of 'southern hospitality.' Readers of Conde Nast Magazine also voted Charleston the #2 overall North American destination in North America. 26,000 readers ranked it #2, just behind San Francisco!
Just outside the city of Charleston, you can visit the beautiful gardens at the Middleton and Magnolia plantations along the Ashley River. Drayton Hall, a National Trust for Historic Preservation property, provides a look into the home of a wealthy planter of the 18th century.
Other Activities: canoeing, kayaking
