Lovely apartment in Rome
We had a great stay in this apartment. It is centrally located so you can walk to most sites and it is located near Campo de Fiori so you are near restaurants and stores. Despite being close to the plaza, the apartment was quiet. There are four flights of stairs and no elevator, so people should be aware of this. The living room is spacious and well decorated and the kitchen was great. We enjoyed this apartment very much.
Great Stay !
Perfect location- right in the middle of everything. The daily market was right around the corner. You can walk to all of the major attractions. Rafael was a great host, meeting us in person when we got there, as well as making transportation arrangements to and from the airport. He also came to our rescue when we got into a bind.
The unit was very spacious which was a big plus.
We are really glad we stayed here. Thanks again Rafael. 👍
Lovely location for experiencing Rome at its best!
Location and apartment were great. Be prepared for the stairs! It was nice to have the space to relax after long days of touring.
Only negative was the co-ordination with the airport pickup. As we ordered it through the related service provider we assumed they would have co-ordinates the check in but we had to call after we arrived and they seemed surprised we were here. If you offer a pickup service have it integrated into checkin. It will make a huge difference for the weary traveller.
This is a 5* apartment. Great location, in the middle of Italian life. You can hear life on the streets, but it adds to the great atmosphere. The place itself is very clean and excellently laid out. Great restaurant around the corner. Within walking distance from Campo dei Fiori, Pantheon and other sights of Rome. We will go back!
Comfortable apartment in a great location
This was a good base of operations for our week in Rome - walking distance from all the major sights, close to the Camp di Fiori. The bed was comfortable, with a surprisingly good mattress, and although the pull out couch was terrible pulled out, the couch was deep enough for our teenager son to sleep comfortably without it being down. The kitchen is small but serviceable, and the dishwasher was a nice feature. The rental agency, Weekey, is generally professional, and we liked having the car service to and from the airport. We also booked the in-home chef cooking lesson and dinner, which was quite good food and had leftovers for another meal, so reasonably priced.
The only hiccups were that we couldnt get the drain plug to work on the jacuzzi, so that was a bust, and we were not given a clear quote for how much cash we would need for check-in (although if we had asked specifically for that I’m sure they would have given it - but it was an odd omission given their general operation). It is a 4th floor walk up, but we knew that at booking, and the shower is tiny, although typical for Europe in our experience. Other than that, they were prompt in correspondence and easy to deal with. Would absolutely book with them again, and stay here.
The apartment was in an excellent location, close to all the important tourist attractions (<30 mins walk to most of them).
The apartment as such was all right, mostly comfortable but barring the following.
1. Walking into the apartment building is like walking through a pile of garbage and the stink is unbearable.
2. The apartment is in the 3rd floor and is quite a walk when you have a family of 2 kids and have to carry 3/4 suitcases.
3. The Air-con was quite ineffective for the heat of Rome. It takes a good 3-4 hrs before one can be a comfortable temperature.
4. Since this being in the 3 floor, the water pressure is very poor in all the places, in the Kitchen, bathroom sink and even in the shower.
4. One of my biggest pain point : One of the reasons for booking this apartment is for the Jacuzzi, however upon trying to operate it, it never would, it would start and then stop immediately.
Hence the Average rating.
1. the apartment - like most of the apartments in the city centre - has garbage bins inside the building. During summer time, with the heat, it can be smelly, we are sorry for that but we cannot do anything about it.
2. The online description says that it is located on the 3rd floor with no elevator.
3. we suffered an unusual heat this July (usually it is not so hot)
4. this is something that can happen
5. if you had issues with the Jacuzzi you could have told us and we would have sent someone to check on that
You are in the heart of Renaissance Rome, but not only: around each corner you find many traces of the ancient Rome. The apartment is in Vicolo del Giglio, overlooking the wonderful Piazza Farnese. The square is a breathtaking place, you will immediately be captured by the massive and austere facade of the Palazzo Farnese. On both sides of the square there are two fountains made by reusing two large baths taken from the Baths of Caracalla, with the addition of the lily, symbol of the Farnese Family. A few steps away is the famous Campo de Fiori, where since 1869 there has been a flower and fruit market every morning. You keep walking through small streets soaked of history and soon arrive to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. From this strategic area, you can easily walk to other extraordinary places such as Castel Sant'Angelo, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, St. Peter's Basilica, the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums... or, simply cross Sisto Bridge to explore the secrets of Trastevere and get a taste of real Roman life. The whole area is safe and wonderful to walk around, full of grocery stores, shopping opportunities, restaurants, lovely wine bars and characteristic taverns.
