Back for our third time at the Huber Haus. This place is great. We are a group of 60-year-old high school friends who get together a couple of times a year and our favorite winter location is here. If you are a skier it is close to 7 Springs and Hidden Valley. Lots of space for a large group to hang out together but plenty of room to have some private time. The hot tub is great!! We will be back.
Our family gathered here to celebrate both Thanksgiving and my husband's 80th birthday. It is a wonderful house with plenty of room, comfortable and relaxing. There is plenty to do both in the house and nearby. We all agree it was a picture perfect holiday and one everyone will remember for a long time. Thanks to the owner for providing a place like this.
This was our second family vacation at the Huber Haus. Our first visit was approximately 12 years ago and we were finally fortunate enough to find an open week this year that would accommodate the different schedules of our family. This is a truly special property and we enjoyed every minute there. The house has a flexible layout with a great flow, but we spent most of our time in the HUGE, open and well-equipped kitchen and on the roomy front porch. We cooked all meals at the house, with the exception of a few lunches and one dinner outing. My daughter-in-law led a yoga class on the front porch every morning and then we were off to the mountain to golf, bike, hike or play, or to spend a lazy day reading and enjoying the comfortable house and yard. Nights were spent star-gazing in the hot tub, sitting around the campfire, playing games in the game room, or watching movies. My grown sons loved having the washers and dryers available to wash their downhill biking clothes each day. The extra downstairs refrig was designated as the "beer frig" -- only a few steps from the foosball table. Many happy memories made and re-made! So nice that our "grand puppy" could come on the trip, too. Darrall is easy to work with, responds quickly and provides useful and thorough information. Thank you, Darrall, for your extra efforts to ensure our family had a great stay at the Huber Haus! We look forward to our next visit!
We were looking for a comfortable, homey feeling for a family reunion. Taking time to search for the right place and looking at several photos we decided to rent this beautiful home . The photos we looked at on the site did not show half the beauty and size of what this house really looks like. We were not disappointed. It met all our needs. The house was big enough that no one got in each others way. The huge kitchen and wrap around porch was great gathering places. It had a massive yard for the kids to play in. We enjoyed the little campfire area at night roasting marshmallows and telling stories. This was a very memorable reunion for all who gathered here, and we already booked for next year to come back. There was so many things in the area to do but didn't have enough time to take it all in
My family revisited the Huber Haus for our 2011 family reunion. (we were here last year). Everyone once again had a super time! The week went too fast...my sister made the comment "This place is magical". They all want to return next year...we'll be back!! Thanks Darrell and Vickie!!!!
Huber Haus exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a group of 15; several couples and a bunch of single adults. The configuration of the bedrooms allows for flexible sleeping solutions. Our four-day weekend was like "The Big Chill!" We put the kitchen and grill through its paces, for sure. The movie room was a popular gathering place at night, with easy access to the hot tub.
The property is an easy few minutes' drive to Seven Springs resort. We all felt that the photos did not do justice to the property. The owner was flexible with our arrival/departure needs.
All of my guests, including those who had to fly in, have already asked about returning for 2012.
