Couldn’t have asked for more!
Stayed here for my boyfriends birthday and couldn’t have been more pleased!
The owners were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you and were very helpful and informative when contacted with enquires.
The lodge itself features everything you could ask for, we were going to go out for a meal however we didn’t want to leave and decided to stay in instead as there is everything you could need for a relaxing night in! However there was also a welcome pack provided full of suggestions for activities near by if you did want to venture out.
Overall we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be returning!
The property was amazing we had a great weekend, there where no faults everything was as described. The cottage it’s self and the surrounding area was amazing, Will definitely return there.
Hidden gem, peace and quiet in a beautiful cottage with a hot tub, private courtyard ,private parking and a tv we hardly used, views across open fields, Heswall is only five minutes drive for supplies, Thornton Hough a five minute walk. Catch the train from Spital to Liverpool or Chester for a busy day and return to the cottage to relax in the hot tub and sleep in a large comfy bed ready for another day of relaxing.zzzzzz
My partner and I came for our 1 year anniversary and it was amazing, I had high expectations and they were surpassed. The property was so lovely and homely and the owners were so helpful. Only negative was that we didn't stay for another night!
Beautiful surroundings, beautiful property. Very helpful when asking for a slightly earlier check-in due to traffic.
Would absolutely return and already recommended to friends and family. Thanks for making our stay so special!
We came for a one night stay and were blown away.
Absolutely gorgeous little cottage, can’t wait to stay again
West Mead Cottage is in the ancient village of Thornton Hough, set deep in the Wirral countryside. This idyllic, but central, location in the northwest of England is only 10 miles from Liverpool and Chester, an hour away from Manchester and Snowdonia, and two hours from the Peak District and the Lake District. It is, quite simply, the perfect base for every type of visitor: those who seek strenuous outdoor pursuits, dedicated shoppers, history and culture seekers and peace-loving potterers.
