Perfect family getaway

Wish we could have enjoyed our stay

I rented this cabin for 3 nights only getting to stay 1 night. We dropped off our things and left for the day we came back in around 1am folded back our quilt to find it had not been cleaned at all, it was terrible! Dog hair, people hair, leaves and stains in the bed, floors dirty NONE of the linens in the cabin had not been changed pull out sofas also dirty(There was dog hair in the kitchen cabinets) I sat on the sofa til morning and as soon as the rental place opened they moved us but unfortunately it was to a smaller cabin, but it was clean. I wish we could have enjoyed this one, loved the decks and nice polywood funiture outside and pool table. The decks really needed a good cleaning also, they still had leaves from the fall on them . Had the cabin been clean I feel we would have enjoyed staying here. Very spacious (thats why I rented this one.) Also its within walking distance to the pool. location is good!

Beautiful at 1st glance but.....

This cabin is a beauty to look at, but there are some issues needing addressed. The last homeaway property we stayed at was better. This kitchen was poorly stocked: no pot holders, skillets in poor condition, causing food to scorch to bottom, also, not enough dishes to serve the number of guests this cabin accomodates, previous renters stuck soap in the hot tub and cleaning staff didn't notice, and the living room ceiling fan didn't work. Nor did the lights over the upstairs stairway, the upstairs chandelier didn't work, the outlet beside the recliner in upstairs bedroom didn't work, as this was where I wanted to sit with my tablet (which I was unable to do the first evening there because intetnet/cable was out). Not likely to rent with this property rental again, unless assured that every detail has been attended to and it meets the expectations advertised.
