Groenlo is ancient city sights that refer to the history of the city, especially from the time of the Eighty Years' War. Below is a list of places of interest:
The Old Calixtus Church is the oldest existing church in Groenlo, in late Gothic style built between 1275 and 1520 by order of the Bishop of Münster. Originally the Catholic faith in the church was professed, but after several changes of creed in the Eighty Years' War, the church since 1674 in the hands of the Reformed Church. The church has withstood all sieges of Groenlo.
Formerly called the New Calixtus church, now the Basilica of Saint Calixte is a Catholic church in Groenlo, built in the early 20th century. This church brought an end to the struggle of the Catholic community to be able to build a full-fledged Catholic Church within the Groenlose canals. In 2014, Pope Francis decided to elevate the church to basilica. The occasion was the restoration of this historic church and the absence of a basilica in the province of Gelderland in the Archdiocese of Utrecht since the H. Walburgis Basilica in Arnhem was no longer used as a church.
The Mussenberg stronghold, popularly known as Kanonswal or North Bastion, one of the remains of the fortifications. At Mussenberg Stronghold is also the cannon was donated by Frederick Henry in 1627 to the city of Grol after his victory. Apart from this gun and find a gun in 1625, are still ten replica guns along the canals Grolse placed in 2008. The stronghold is the Jewish cemetery.

Stoomhoutzagerij Nahuis is a sawmill from around 1850 which is located on the outskirts of Groenlo. In the sawmill two unique steam engines were used the saw to do their work. Today, the steam sawmill is a museum that several times a year is open. On these days is also actually sawn timber.
Groenlo station is a former railway station on the railroad Winterswijk - Neede and opened in 1884. Upon discontinuation of all rail traffic in 1974 removed the tracks in 1977.
In the basement of The Long Walk café are remnants of the brewery where William Neerfeldt in 1615 for the first Grolsch brewed.
