In a nice setting but needs many improvements

For our 1 week stay over New Year's we were looking for a roomy and comfortable ocean front apartment in a quiet setting. Much of this apartment was much less roomy than expected, even though we knew the wide angle lenses exaggerate the size of the rooms. Although we knew this apartment was in the 2nd block behind another block and thus not directly facing the ocean, to claim it has a "sea view" is a bit deceptive since the sea view is only possible from the roof terrace (too windy for us to use) or the upper bedroom balcony and no where else in the apartment. The place is very long and narrow and on two floors so much of the space is lost in hallways, stairs and a fairly useless inner courtyard-like space that may be useful in summer although even then it would be very claustrophobic. The set up is such that the kitchen is separated by this "courtyard" from the dining/living room and is thus somewhat inconvenient.

Some positive points: the place was clean, there were adequate linens and towels and most of the basics (toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, cooking utensils and tableware) were provided with some small but important exceptions (hand soap, dishwashing soap, not enough toilet paper). There was a small welcome basket of some useful food goodies which was appreciated. As we were only 4 adults, the 3 bedroom apartment had adequate space although it would have felt a bit cramped if we had been 6 people. In the summer the pool would be useful and the grounds were fairly nicely kept.

Some of the other negative aspects: the communications prior to arrival was very poor in that it was hard to find out how and where to gain access to the place. We had asked that the place be pre-heated prior to our arrival, but this was forgotten and we arrived to a very cold apartment. We had the main circuit breaker blow several times because they turned on the 3 space heaters upon our arrival and this used too much power (took a while to figure this out). The kitchen smelled of sewage on arrival but this went away by the next day. There were about 15 keys for the apartment and none were labelled so it was a guessing game to open doors. The mini size oven was very limiting. Furniture and walls a bit worn, lack of light in living area. So, although we had a nice time visiting the area, the apartment was somewhat disappointing for the price.

Disfrutando de la luz de Cadiz¡¡¡

Nada mas entrar nos encantó la casa, es tal y como viene en las fotos... dispone de todo lo necesario. Camas muy agradables. Amplia y luminosa. Lugar especial, delante de una cala que con marea baja nos permitía llegar hasta el pueblo andando por la orilla. Pues nos han pillado unos días de calma y sol y hemos disfrutado y paseado . Gracias también a Blanca y a Loli que nos han atendido a todas nuestras demanda... explicado los lugares donde poder ir a comer, comprar . Mucho silencio y calma . precioso encuentro , era lo que buscábamos. Repetiremos¡¡¡¡

INMEJORABLE, EXPECTACULAR...

Hemos pasado el fin de semana del 6 al 8 de septiembre de 2013 en esta fabulosa casa en Viñuela. Eramos 6 adultos, dos niños (5 y 2 años) y dos perros de raza pequeña.

La vivienda tiene todo tipo de detalles, inclusive juegos de mesa, DVD, cintas de vidio, CD, libros... y un sin fin de cosas.

Todo muy limpio y huele...mmm muy bien.

La pena es que nos llovió, y no pudimos disfrutar de la piscina, que también era expectacular.

Jugamos a la petanca los 8, y los niños lo pasaron genial.

La casa está muy bien cuidada y el jardín es una delicia, por no mencionar a Maggie que habla super bien español y nos atendió con una enorme sonrisa en su cara.

No hay nada negativo en la casa ni en el propietario, que nos atendió muy bien y rápido por e-mail.

Gracias Craig por dejarnos estar en su casa este fin de semana. Nos veremos pronto.

Fabuloso lugar!

Pude disfrutar de esta casa con mi familia durante una semana y la verdad a sido toda un gozada, la casa es amplia, decorada con mucho gusto, no le falta detalle, muy bien equipada, limpia y cuidada. Lo mejor es que tiene, la playa a apenas 100 metros y es una calita practicamente privada para los de la urbanización, es genial!!! Hemos disfrutado de unos lindos dias y de hermosos paseos al atardecer por los acantilados de la zona. Esta a unos minutos en coche del supermercado, del pueblo y del faro de Roche! POR SEGURO ! Cuando vuelva a conil esta volverá a ser mi casa!!!
