Imagine a restful, romantic or family vacation on one of the most beautiful islands in Florida. We offer a very comfortable and well appointed condominium, located in a quiet and well maintained complex on a gorgeous, uncrowded Gulf of Mexico beach.
Welcome to Loggerhead Cay #253, situated on the third floor of a beautiful midrise building, just 50 feet from a short elevator ride up. Our unit is truly unique in that it is extremely quiet because it is adjacent to a storage closet on one side, is above other units and is not directly over the swimming pool area. Hence, it is perfect for couples and seniors seeking that special quiet getaway vacation.
Our sunlit condo, with cathedral ceilings, overlooks a colorful tropical garden, situated within a private inner court which, itself, includes a recently renovated 30 x 60 foot heated pool and the Gulf of Mexico beaches just a few steps beyond.
The condo includes a master bedroom with a queen size bed and a second bedroom with twin beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom including one with a tub and the other with a shower. The rest of the condo includes a recently updated kitchen, a nicely furnished dining area, a restful living room, and a relaxing screened-in balcony. The condo comes fully equipped with washer, dryer, coffee maker, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, spices, sugar, and much more. We pride ourselves in taking care of our condo as we use it regularly ourselves and for our children.

The week we stayed in this condo in Dec. 2015 was probably the 10th time we've stayed there, since we love this condo and Loggerhead Cay. Although we have rented other condos in this complex, this one is our favorite. The vaulted ceilings really make it special, and they let in so much light. The screen porch is perfect for early morning coffee and watching the sky lighten with the dawn. It is conveniently situated about half-way between the beach and the road, plus is far enough away from the pool that it is still quiet. Our favorite part of the condo is that the kitchen is so well stocked with pots and pans and other cooking equipment that it is clear the owners must love to cook. Our family really enjoys fixing meals together when we are at the beach, and making meals in this kitchen is a pleasure. One year we even made Christmas cookies.:-)
We found the listing description to be quite accurate, and the property was very clean and well-maintained. The owner is wonderful, and is very responsive to requests or questions. We wouldn't stay anywhere else, and plan to book for two weeks next year.
Had a relaxing, comfortable month stay at this condo with a great price to go with it! Ownership is awesome and trouble-free. The unit is well stocked, cozy and accommodating, and of course Sanibel is paradise! Would highly recommend and hope to return again.
It was a wonderful place to stay -- the location was great and the place was very spacious and nicely appointed.. The beach and pool were perfect. The condo was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed eating at Timbers, the Island Cow, Lazy Flamingo and can't visit Sanibel without a stop at Schnapper's. We caught some sea trout which we had for dinner that night!! The owner was very helpful and extremely accommodating. I would recommend this place without any reservations.
We felt so at home in your condo. It's clear it is well loved and well cared for. We enjoyed the complex and the proximity of the condo to everything we wanted to do. Would definitely return - as often as possible.
We returned for the third time for a great relaxing two weeks. As mentioned before, we rank this unit tops after more than 20 years of annual stays at Loggerhead Cay. Still the best complex on Sanibel Island. The first morning beachwalk a dolphin appeared just 10 feet from shore for our viewing pleasure. We shall return next year.
The owner of this property was wonderful. After getting jerked around by some real estate groups, this owner was a breath of fresh air. Fair, prompt, and did not tag on a lot of hidden costs. We booked the trip last minute, and as soon as they got our check, the owner fedex the keys, and so much more. Restaurant recommendations and tips were also included. What a thoughtful couple.
Okay, now more about the property . . . Large two bedroom condo. Kitchen was well appointed with everything from great knives, to a blender. The condo was well situated near the lighthouse ( I ran there and back every morning-- two miles each way, just awesome four mile scenic run!) By the way, the shelling was sick! Lots of conch shells near the light house. In the other direction, lots of conchs found two miles away . . . Nice tennis courts. Played every day, and met nice couples to play doubles with. Great pool. Maybe too great--my ten year old wanted to live there and the parents just wanted to go to the beach :) Nice screened in porch. Awesome beach. I want to go back. Now. As my ten year old put it, "Mom, I'm condo sick." Meaning that she is homesick for this condo. So are Mom and Dad, Kiddo!

Bird watching, Some of our favorite places may become yours, For breakfast, The Lighthouse Cafe is a must, You can bypass the huge line by calling them ahead of time and placing your name on the waiting list, For a lunch getaway by the Sanibel docks, Grandma Dots' is the place to go, Try the New England Clam Chowder, the grilled grouper sandwich and their wonderful key-lime pie for dessert, For the best seafood on the island, try the easy-going Lazy Flamingo or the Timbers Restaurant for dinner, To catch your favorite NFL team on Sundays, go to the sports bar adjacent to Timbers
