Very spacious, airy, modern home with all facilities for a great family holiday

The house easily accommodates 10 people and is divided into 4 large bedrooms (2 of which have en-suite bathrooms (shower, toilet and basin). There is also an additional large family bathroom (shower, bath, toilet and basin). The large living area contains WiFi internet, satellite HD TV, BluRay, DVD, CD, comfortable sofas and a dining table for 10 people.

The modern, open plan kitchen has electric oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and all you will need to cook comfortably.

The large garden is nicely set out and great for families. There is a decking area and outdoor tables, chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue.

Montalivet-Les-Bains village centre with its famous market, shops and numerous restaurants is a short distance along one of the many cycle paths / footpaths on the edge of the forest.

The quiet sandy beach is an easy walk beside the forest.

We wanted a house that was large and modern, but still felt cosy. We wanted to have enough space for 2 families to stay together but retain some privacy.

The garden is nicely planted and there is an area of sand for use as a children's play area. There is a bike rack on the front drive. Linen: As is usual with French properties, we provide quilts and pillows (french and UK style) but NOT towels, quilt covers or pillowcases. Wheelchairs: There is only a single 15cm step up to the front door making the entire property wheelchair friendly (the interior doors are 66cm wide). 2 showers and all facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Light, spacious and well equipped house

This is great house for more than one family to stay in. Two large childrens bedrooms each with 3 beds and two lovely double rooms. Really well-equipped kitchen and spacious living area. Lots of thoughtful additions that make the house a really practical living space for families, i.e., large shoe racks, tonnes of coat hooks, plenty of towel hooks in the bathrooms, outside tap for washing off sandy feet, lots of washing lines and a bike rack.

An easy walk to a good surf spot or a short bike-ride to the nearest safe swimming area and town is only 5 minute bike-ride away.

The owner has been extremely helpful and communication was prompt and problem-free.

I would recommend bringing small fans for bedrooms in high summer - we had lots of days where it nearly reached 40 degrees and, with the shutters down at night for children, the bedrooms were quite hot. Being a fairly newly built property, shade is very limited but the garden and decking area are really spacious and lots of seating has been provided.

A really practical, user-friendly house for beach living and we would highly recommend it.

(6 of us stayed in total: Our family of 4 plus 2 grandparents - all very happy!)

Tolles Haus

Wir waren im August 2014 hier. Das Haus lässt für uns keine Wünsche offen. Wir hatten alles. Der Markt (der sehr zu empfehlen ist) ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Weg zum Strand ist auch sehr gut zu laufen. Der Strand ist super schön hier. Allerdings dieser Strandabschnitt ist nicht bewacht, aber wir haben schon größere Kinder. Die Straße ich nicht zu sehr befahren. Die Terrasse ist schön groß. Die Zimmer sind schön und toll ist, dass jeder ein Badezimmer hat. Das Wohnzimmer ist sehr hell und gemütlich. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen. Die Abwicklung mit dem Vermieter hat super geklappt.

Brilliant house near the beach and forest

We had a fantastic holiday in this lovely house. It is obviously well looked after. The kitchen provided all the equipment we could need.

It is a short walk from the beautiful, quiet beach which goes on for miles.

Next door to the house is a pine forest and the the kids loved walking the dog along the forest tracks.

The local town is also easy to walk to and has loads of great restaurants at good prices.

If you enjoy cycling then the cycle paths near the house link to all the nearby villages and beaches - although we didn't manage to try them all.

The house easily fitted all 10 of us in comfort and we made good use of the free WiFi and the Satellite TV.

All in all a great holiday and we will definitely be coming back again.

Séjour parfait.

Excellentes préstations, grande maison propre au calme dans petit quartier à l'extérieur de Montalivet. Se rendre à la boulangerie se fait à pied sans problème. Chambres spacieuses et salles de bains attenantes. Grand séjour et belle terasse en bois encadrant la maison. Tres bonne connexion internet.

Recommandé pour famille ou amis.

The huge, quiet beach is only 800m away at the end of our road.
