Amazing Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Amazing cabin! Very clean, very comfortable, amazing views. Can't beat the creek, hammock, and swing! I could write a novel on how much we enjoyed this place. Will certainly be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great cabin. The town of Black Mountain was so cute. Great, great place!

Charming, cozy, rustic. A fantastic retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Beetree Cottage could not have been more perfect for our little winter getaway. My husband and I scooped up our little maltipug, Annie, and drove up from Orlando. It took about seven hours. We found and accessed the cabin right away.

The cottage has three bedrooms, and I believe the sofa in the living room converts to a bed to create a fourth sleeping space. The bed linens were crisp and clean, as were the towels, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is updated and very clean with towels and extra paper supplies tucked away.

The kitchen is great for cooking, with big windows for natural light. There are all the pots, pans, cook's tools, plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, and mixing bowls you could possibly need, an electric range, a microwave, a huge fridge, and a few small appliances. There's a dining room with a table for four adjacent to the kitchen, separate from the the living room.

The living room was the best part. Comfy couches, a big TV, a Roku, huge picture windows with great woodsy views, and of course the pièce de résistance: the wood-burning stove. We had a fire going the whole time we were there. The decor is rustic but not so over-the-top as to be ostentatious, with wood paneling, dark rugs, and decorative accents reminiscent of a hunting lodge. It's a warm, plush, comfortable room.

Outside, there's a huge wraparound deck furnished with comfy chairs and tables, tiki torches, a gas grill, and a very inviting (and clean) hot tub. We used the tub multiple times each day we were there. The cabin itself is secluded but not remote—sort of the best of both worlds. You can't see neighbors from the windows but they're there, through the trees and around the bend. There's a lovely creek on the property and you can hear the water when you're outside.

Miscellaneous: Very fast wi-fi, washer/dryer, some wood provided for burning but it needs to be replenished, no dishwasher. Although we never met her in person, the manager (June) is super easy to work with, and the rental/clean-up expectations were minimal and clearly outlined within the cabin. We got our deposit back promptly.

Recs: BBQ at nearby Okiedokies, donuts at Vortex, breakfast at Tupelo Honey, shopping in downtown Asheville, shrimp & grits at Sunny Point Cafe, and grocery shopping at nearby Ingles supermarket.

We'll most definitely be backhand hope to stay at Beetree Cottage again. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy mountain escape.

Great Place!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Bee Tree Creek. I would disagree with there being mountain views, but the creek was a huge plus. We had our dog with us and he loved swimming in the creek and running in the yard space. We would take those two things over the mountain view anyday. The cottage was very clean and had everything you would need. The hot tub was a great addition, however, we felt that it was very chlorinated, making it a little uncomfortable to breath around the steam. Our only other complaint was that the fitted sheet on the first bed was too small.

We would definitely stay again! The owner was easy to work with and we are so grateful they allowed for us to bring our dog.

Cabin Christmas

  • 5 of 5

Loved this place! Perfect getaway and family meeting place for Christmas. Warm and cozy and well stocked. We brought a lighted tree and played board games and watched movies by the fire. The dogs were in heaven racing around the large yard and exploring the stream. The unseasonably warm weather allowed us nights of campfire cooking by the rushing stream. Breakfast at the local Waffle House, enjoyed local brewery tours and we could even attend Christmas Eve candlelight services by walking across the street. This was a truly perfect Christmas location.

Excellent Vacation Property

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for 5 days in October. The cottage was an excellent choice. It was very clean and well maintained. It had everything you would want or need for some time away. The location was convenient to both Black Mountain and Asheville. It was a little secluded which offered lots of privacy and peace and quiet. I found the owners were delightful to work with and answered all questions we had before renting this property. I would recommend this cottage for anyone seeking a vacation rental in this area.

Bee Tree Cottage is located in the beautiful Swannanoa Valley 15 minutes east of downtown Asheville. The Biltmore Estate and the quaint town of Black Mountain are both a 15 minute drive from the cottage. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 10 minutes away. It is 3 miles from Warren Wilson College where you find hiking trails, a local farmers market, and many cultural activities.

Western North Carolina is also home to Chimney Rock park, numerous waterfalls in Pisgah National Forrest, the Arboretum, and the Botanical gardens. Asheville and and Black Mountain are filled with great restaurants, shopping, arts and entertainment. For the outdoor enthusiast, you can hike on the property, travel 3 miles away to the trail along the Swannanoa River, or explore Montreat's many trials, right outside of Black Mountain.

Even with all Western North Carolina has to offer you may never want to leave the Bee Tree Cottage, the hot tub, private deck, and hammock by the creek are so inviting!
