I live in upstate NY. The natural beauty of Cape Vincent is the perfect setting for bird watching which I really enjoy.

This cottage is a few hours from my home and is the perfect getaway for weekend use.
I love the area's yard sales and shops. When I'm at the cottage just looking at the peaceful lake is relaxing.
The cottage was everything as described. Owner very nice and allows you to enjoy your time at the cottage, but quietly available if needed. Sunsets are breathtaking! Very peaceful area ! Cape Vincent quiet picturesque village. We will definately return and rent this cottage again.
The cottage is exactly as pictured! Comfortable and adequate. Be sure to bring your camera as you will want to capture the breathtaking sunsets over the water. The fishing was great when we were there , drop your line get a fish, drop your line get a fish! The canoe was perfect early morning and at sunset when the water was like glass. Best yet is my family learned they can survive without TV! We enjoyed the wildlife that was all around. The boathouse and dock made the perfect gathering spot for my family. We would love to come back. Owners very helpful!
Stayed there over the 4th.cottage was nice as it was 2 yrs, ago great people speedy return of despost will go again in the near future.
This sweet cottage has everything you need for a nice, relaxing family vacation. We came from Virginia with 3 teenagers not knowing what to expect but we were not disappointed. The cottage was very clean, spacious, and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare almost any meal, all I added was a crock pot since I get lazy on vacation! The boathouse and dock provided a cover for our boat and fishing opportunities everyday, as we landed smallmouth, perch, and rock bass. There are plenty of crawfish if you are so inclined to get in the water and catch them - we did and had fun doing it. Swimming is wonderful right from the shore for little ones or for adults off the end of the dock. There is a swim ladder as well. Owner provided a canoe for us to use, which was perfect for a early evening paddle. The fire pit is in a great location and a great deal of quality family time was spent there each evening. I happen to like the fact there is no wifi or cable television - with smart phones these days it just isn't necessary on vacation. The washer and dryer are very convenient, especially with children. Another plus is the location - the 1000 Islands area has much to offer and is a very short distance from Canada. We took the ferry over one day and it was easy and fun. We absolutely cannot wait to come back, we will be talking about this vacation for a long time to come.
We spent a week there and really enjoyed it .it was as the pictures showed we are thinking of returning there next year if the dates work out for us.the fishing could have been better but the place made us feel good about picking this place.
Marina across the bay for boat rental, great local restaurants, many antique shops and a shopping center a short drive away, Take the ferry to Wolf Island, Canada, fishing and more fishing! Explore the Thousand Islands and the natural beauty that abounds in the Cape Vincent area
