Beautiful, new, spacious villa
We just returned from a family get together in Alexandria. With four bedrooms and three and a half baths, there was plenty of room for all three families. The villas are new and beautifully designed. The view from the villa was breath-taking – beautiful sunsets and our little grandchildren enjoyed watching the ducks. Our contact at Lake Darling Resorts was very helpful. From the photos we thought we'd have a sandy beach in front of our villa but we didn't. The water had a strong smell to it but the refrigerator provided filtered water. We voted and decided that we would definitely like to come again next year.
Great place for a small group
Our group of six really had a good time here. The dishwasher didn't work, but the management was aware of this and was working at getting it fixed. Great view of the lake, comfortable beds, everything was very clean!! Office staff very helpful. I'd return here!
We will be back soon!
We absolutely loved the layout- the kitchen is stunning. Not pictured is the gorgeous screen porch- we spent both nights sitting out there. The villa is decorated so nicely and we can’t wait to come back!
Jill -- thank you for the five star review. We appreciate your comments and are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! Looking forward to having you stay with us again in the future.
Lovely Place for Family Weekend!
We had a bit of trouble finding our villa. It turned out we were changed from unit 5 to unit 3, and I had the address a bit wrong. When we walked in the door, we were struck with how lovely the unit is. It is spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. There is a lot of storage in the kitchen so I was able to tuck away the food we brought and keep the unit looking impressive for those that arrived after us. The rooms are good sized with plenty of floor space. The technology is very new. We had a bit of trouble with the dishwasher. It opens for a few minutes before the dry cycle and after the wash cycle. The beds are comfortable with crisp white bedding and warm comforters. The kitchen table is huge and it was so nice for us all to sit together for meals. We also had plenty of room for playing cards and other games. The one area that is deficient is seating in the living area. Another love seat and/or recliner would be great. This may only be an issue in the winter. We all remarked on how nice it would be to stay here in the summer. The walls between rooms are very thin. I could hear every word said in the kitchen when I used the bathroom. But we couldn't hear the group in the next unit at all, and they reported not hearing us. My husband and I loved the walk in shower. We want one at home! The goat's milk soap and shampoo smells great. There are plenty of outlets which the kids appreciated for all the chargers in use. The fireplace was a big hit for those of us who like the extra warmth. My niece insisted on sleeping on the sofa sleeper just to be near it. The area outside is gravel, so the floor got pretty gritty. I felt sorry for the housekeeper, but I was told that is a temporary situation. We are a far flung group with almost as many cars as people, but there was plenty of parking. We would come back in a heartbeat.
