Good base for exploring Chicago area
We really liked this property. It was in a good area, not far from Oakton-Skokie CTA Station, and easy reach to Chicago while being a pleasant area with plenty of parking. The owner was very helpful, turning up straight away when we had a minor problem with the electrics. If you stay here, it is a very short walk to the Village Inn, which did very good food, was family friendly whilst still being a sports bar. However, the place not to miss is Annie's Pancake House, just along the road towards the CTA Station.
Keeping in mind that any basement apartment in Chicago is going to be a bit damp, this was perfect for us. Roomy, clean, CTA accessible. Would have been even happier with a better cable package, but we're retirees who relax in the evening watching TV before going to bed early! Overall, it ticks off all the boxes for a fun Chicago stay.
Quiet street in a charming neighborhood
We enjoyed staying at Ralph’s place this weekend. It fit our needs perfectly, with enough comfortable sleeping arrangements and the full kitchen.
It was hot in the Chicago area but we were pleasantly cool there and slept well. Thanks for your hospitality!
This is a basement apartment that has everything you need in a convenient location. The immediate neighborhood has several nice restaurants and shops, and it is walking distance from the train into Chicago. It being a basement, the ceilings are a little low, but the lighting is very good, and it is comfortable. Parking is on the street. It is also a short drive into Evanston, for those visiting the Northwestern campus. Owners available but not intrusive.
It was a beautiful apartment in the heart of Skokie.
It was well kept and clean. Extremely convenient location. They were very kind and helpful. I have nothing but good things to say.
Nice place for a quiet weekend
Great place for a quiet weekend getaway. The apartment is very spacious and comfy.
