Guestbook comments from the owner

We all enjoyed the day trips to Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point and Mackinaw island. The very best part of our vacation was relaxing in your wonderful home. We loved playing board games, swimming and telling stories by the fire. This was a wonderful memory for our family.

Beautiful, Clean and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

Another enjoyable, relaxing family getaway that we just really can't say enough good things about this property. We have a larger family (5 children) mostly all grown now. When our children and their significant others can all make their schedules work out to spend some good quality time together we like to go somewhere away from the busy homestead and this place is it! A well stocked kitchen also makes in so easy to create your home cooked meals to save on cost of dining out. This is a very beautiful and clean home in a quiet private setting. Yet you are not really far from things to go and do and see if you want to as well. We enjoyed the coldest day indoor playing games, the next day we went to Silver Mountain and went snow tubing. Then we just walked out the back door where the kids made a skating rink and skated for hours along with the guys doing some ice fishing nearby. Then the next day we went to Tahquamenon Falls to enjoy the winter wonderland for the soul that only can be found there. The owners Tod and Heather have always been very nice and very helpful. We are so happy they have opened their home as a place to stay with our family and create more family memories. Anyone looking for a place in the north country to stay should absolutely chose this property! You will not be disappointed.

Just What You Hope

  • 5 of 5

This was an extremely pleasant stay in the U.P. The snow was plowed when we arrived making access easy, and we opened the door to a very clean home. The owner was very responsive, and easy to work with. This was our first VRBO experience and we weren't sure what to expect. It certainly exceeded expectations. A sincere thank you!

Gorgeous Views, Lots of Room and Tons to Do!

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of room! Great views! Tons to do!

We stayed over the Thanksgiving holidays and what a great fun filled family vacation! Stayed here as a family of four plus an 8 month old. Plenty of space, kid friendly and so much to do for adults too! Loved they have puzzle, board games and space to sprawl out! Even in the winter there was ton to do around town! We even went to Mackinaw and drank at the Mustang Lounge with all the locals. St. ignance is under ten minutes away to stroll thhe shops and catch the ferry to Mackinaw. All to come back to a great clean home lounging on the couch taking in the views with some snow! Highly recommended and great family vacation!

Even Better than is Described!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our 4 children (ages 3-13) stayed here for a week. This property was even better than advertised. The lovely, spacious and immaculate home was just steps to the water with beautiful views. It was serene and included everything we needed for a great stay, right down to the stocked kitchen, firewood and use of the paddle boat and kayaks. Although we didn't want to leave, we did venture out to Pictured Rocks, and the home is very convenient to Tahquamenon, Oswald's Bears, Whitefish Point, and Mackinaw Island. The owner Heather was incredibly responsive, helpful, and quick to return our deposit. We could not have been more pleased with our experience!

A Great Place to unwind

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was brief but great last weekend. The house is big yet cozy, very very neat and tidy. We had a fabulous-but-short time. Planing to revisit next year and stay longer.
