Guestbook comments from the owner

We all enjoyed the day trips to Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point and Mackinaw island. The very best part of our vacation was relaxing in your wonderful home. We loved playing board games, swimming and telling stories by the fire. This was a wonderful memory for our family.

Just a fantastic cottage with great lake view !

  • 5 of 5

The place is beautiful, big and well geared. This trip was our third stay in the cottage. We just loved it, especially in winter.

We recommend it strongly.

Our Family loves this log cabin! Great picturesque views from this home of Brevort lake.

  • 5 of 5

Our family has been staying in this cabin every winter for the last 12 years, very clean and well-maintained. The owners are hands-on, if you need anything. We love the accessibility to this house from the town of Moran and Bevort lake via snowmobile ! Also Saint Ignace is only about 12 minutes away. Great modern kitchen and dining area for those family dinners. Lots of setting room around the fireplace for that family time with views of Brevort lake. We've never rented a home that offers all the amenities of this one. This year we're planning to come back in the summer and enjoy kayaking and fishing on this awesome lake. You'll love what this Home has to offer and will not be disappointed !

Great winter vacation

  • 4 of 5

This was such a great vacation for our family of six. We saw plenty of snow, built snowmen amd snow forts, went sledding, and hiked the Tahquamenon Falls. The house was much nicer than the pictures show. The only two issues we had with the house were: 1. It took a good 3 hours for the house to warm up the first night we arrived. It was 19 degrees outside and 50 in the house when we arrived, and it took a while for everyone to stop shivering enough to fall asleep. 2. The hot water smells bad (like rotten eggs), probably because it is well water and winter time. Other than those 2 things, the house is roomy, extremely clean amd well-stocked, and lovely. I was unimpressed with St. Ignace as it did not have a real grocery store, just a Family Fare. We were not thrilled with the quality of the meat and fish at the store, which was a disappointment as my husband is a chef and usually cooks amazing meals on vacation. I expected St. Ignace to have at least a Food Lion, Kroger, or some equivalent grocery store. Note that many things are closed for the winter, such as the Shipwreck Museum. We were there for snow fun, however, and got plenty of it! Again, the cabin was lovely, as is the view of the frozen lake from the cabin. Our kids will never forget this vacation!

Perfect place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

What a gorgeous home and surrounding property. I recently stay at Gray Wolf Lodge with a group of 9 friends. The house was very clean and in perfect condition with a beautiful view of the lake. It was well stocked with everything from cooking supplies in the kitchen to hand soap dispensers for each of the sinks plus plenty of wood for the fire pit. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of room for all of us. My group also appreciated the direct TV in the great room since there were a number of sporting events to watch that weekend. Plenty of hot water for the showers too. The house is a comfortable driving distance to St. Ignace, the ferries to Mackinac Island, and the Mackinac bridge. Heather was very helpful and easy to work with. The information she provides about the rental was very detailed and useful when planning what to bring. I felt the description of the property was accurate and I would definitely recommend renting this home to anyone that wants to enjoy the beauty of northern Michigan. Even though our group was only adults, I feel this would also be a great place for families with children.
