Cabin in the Mountains
I can't put into words how stunning this property is. The views are one of a kind, the night sky is vivid in its clarity and appears so close you could almost touch the moon. And the cabin itself!! It's like stepping into a cabin from the 1800's - all handmade, solid wood, such a homey little place- yet with all the modern amenities one would need for a comfortable stay.
The owners are very friendly, just a phone call away (from the provided land line, no cell service) if you should need assistance with anything.
For a romantic get away you couldn't find a better place, absolute privacy and even our doggo loved tromping around the cabin. However, the cabin is very remote, so don't expect to find readily available food sources. It's truly a cabin in the mountains with the nearest general store a good 45 minute round trip. Be sure to stop at Bodes or in Espanola for food items before you head up there - there is a full stove and oven to cook on with all the necessary pots and pans to whip up a meal to make any mountain man happy.
Best little cabin in the world. If you are looking for tranquility and easeful ness in your environment for a holiday, this is your place! And... so close to some amazing hiking!
Just what we were looking for. Quiet and secluded. Nice place to stay while checking out a large area. Clean and comfortable. Would absolutely stay again!
Clean, comfortable, beautiful setting. I would stay here again. You should too!
Very relaxing cabin to escape to for a few days. Owners were very helpful with things and not obtrusive. Lots to see in local area and saw some great sunsets at night by Abiquiu Res.
Short weekend- Lifetime memories
The house is deep in the canyon, in a very unique and quiet setting. House was spotless clean and has everything you might need, from toiletries to kitchen pans. You name it, it has it all. Owners are the nicest people I have met in my whole life. Friendly, generous and willing to help if you have any questions. We hiked to the indian ruins and it was fantastic. Felix took us to the trailhead in person. Thank you, Felix, we would have never found it on our own. Even when we had a short stay, we felt bonded with these great people. We could not be more comfortable in this house. Don't leave without going outside at night. The view of the stars is breathtaking. We will be back. It's a hidden gem.
