On entry you have a bright livingroom with sofabed there is full size TV and DVD (a selection of DVD films) - cable TV (including english news channel CNN and BBC world) and free internet access either Wifi/ Ethernet. There are 2 full length double doors/windows that open onto a very sunny balcony. The livingroom has a centrally mounted air conditioning unit the cools the whole apartment. The apartment is at rear of building facing south - so gets sun and is very quiet. The apartment has a upstairs mezzanine area - there are is a King size double bed. There is a shower-room with hand basin and WC located on the mezzanine area.In the living area there is an american kitchen with fridge/freezer, 2 plate cooking plate, microwave Nespresso coffee machine (shop is below apartment) and cooking untensils. This is a lovely bright apartment - great central location on Place Massena - but also very quiet - lovely location to explore Nice - perfect for couple.
The location of this apartment is amazing. Right in the heart of Place Massena, yet it is an internal apartment and so avoids the night noises from the square.
So location is INCREDIBLE. Loved it.
The apartment is clean, perfect. Sure the mezzanine beams are at my head height, but what a fabulous layout. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the feeling of being part of Nice for a few days again :)
The owner provided excellent and detailed information regarding key collection and how to find the apartment. I am already recommending this to my friends and relatives.
Being in the Place Massena means there is the avenue of restaurants available for exploration for meals. Ideal for breakfast or evening meals really. Then the Old Town is just across the tram tracks. If you feel the need to explore further afield, the tram is right on your doorstep too. The train station is two tram stops away for example.
The Promenade des Anglais is close, and that has to be experienced. Walking along the Promenade and then up to the chateau for an unbelievable view is always worthwhile no matter how many times we visit Nice.
We love Nice - and we find it a friendly and welcoming part of France. Can't wait for our next trip
ok nice Apartment, but.... refrigiator had Loose parts that fell out first time we opened it, some plugs in the walls didnt Work, sleeping sofa Works for 2 kids, NOT 2 adults, at the first (open) floor in the Apartment (bedroom, wc, bath) the seiling is very low, especially the 2 big Wood Things in the seiling they go Down to 160 cm, very very irritating, and everybody hits their head quite hard on these several times during the stay..... toilet/wc is small, and also here Theres an edge you can hit your head on when you rise from the toilet.... the shower is app 60 x 60 cm very very small, every time you moove, you hit the Water butten so the Water goes out.... the balcony is in the sun, but Again, after a long day its not possible to sit there and relax because of the small hard chairs, and..... as it is close to the promenade, and turns in direction at the promenade, Theres a lot of noice in form of the very high music they play from different scenes and it dosnt stop until 24.00...... in the daytime the balcony is ok quiet....
As a mature age couple, we were very happy with this apartment, very clean with a very comfortable living area and well equipped kitchen. Manager, Paul was very helpful when needed. It is a great location for doing many day trips. Great transport system. Only downside, being the size of the shower area and as others have mentioned watch your head on the mezzanine level. Overall though, a great place and would definitely recommend this property and the owners.
A fine apartment close to everything. The Promenade du Paillon is really nice and beautiful in the evening.. There were street entertainers at Place Massena, which is a place where everything converges close to the sea and Vielle Ville.
The beds are good, but it is a very low ceiling on the mezzanine bedroom level.
The kitchen is ok, and the apartment is quiet.
It was a sunny, quiet, apartment with a balcony, in an ideal location in the centre of Nice. It was spotlessly clean and had TV and Wifi. Main negative: BEDROOM (with comfortable king-size bed) was in a mezzanine floor with low beams on the ceiling (suitable for people under 5'4") and, as my husband and I are over 5'7' unless we thought to crouch down while upstairs - we banged our heads several times!!
The apartment is located in perfect postion - with direct access onto Place Massena which is heart of Nice and 2 minutes walk to old town and 5 minutes to the beach. The apartment is at the rear of building (and double glazed) so very quiet - whilst being in the heart of all activities.
