This clean, tastefully furnished condo is perfect for a couple. Can accommodate one additional in a rollaway bed. It features spectacular views of Marblehead's old town State Street Landing. Watch the lobster boats unload their catch. Enjoy the bustle of activity as the 'Hannah Glover' arrives, directly in front of the condo, to ferry children to the summer day camp on Children's Island. Even while cooking in the unit's full kitchen, watch as sailboats criss-cross the harbor. This fully independent corner condo is located on the top floor of a three story building.
The condo is furnished to attract guests who appreciate quality (leather sofas, new carpets, original artwork, antiques, etc). The dining table seats four and directly looks onto the harbor. The unit enjoys direct access to a roof deck offering panoramic harbor views. Access is via a stairway from the living room. In season, chairs and plants are set up.
The deck is ideal for sun bathing, morning coffee, and evening cocktails. The southeast facing deck provides beautiful views of the harbor and the opposite shore at sunset.
Carol stayed from the 4th of April through the 20th of May while major repairs were being done to her townhouse in Marblehead. She stated that she was delighted with her stay and spent "many happy hours at her computer looking out onto the harbor".
Thank you so much for your hospitality. Having the few groceries in the fridge really helped a LOT as we were quite weary travelers on arrival. Loved watching the sunrise over the water, having Crosbys (supermarket) right near by as well as all the other awesome nearby restaurants (Driftwood, Maddie's, Haleys, etc)! Thanks again!
The residence is well located in Old Town, so that walking around is fun and easy. There is also a parking space. The unit was attractive, well cared for and quiet. I would recommend it and return on another occasion. Communication with the owner was easy, responsive, and helpful.
What a wonderful find this place was! Right across the street from the water, this condo puts you in the heart a coastal New England backdrop that would have any respectable novelist salivating. The quiet echos of small vessels bringing seafood into port, the whimsical labrinyth of roads that meander throughout the town, the friendliness of locals who make everyone feel like they're home.
The owner was extremely helpful and friendly!
The apartment was gorgeous. It was nice that it was so close to the water. Gorgeous views. The deck is an awesome perk where you can see a large part of Marblehead. It's nice that Salem and Boston are both so close. The parking lot is small for 4 cars, wouldnt recommend driving a truck or big suv there. The roads in Marblehead can be very tight. Regardless the apartment is awesome. It's so pretty and nice to come back to something besides a hotel room. It is noisey in the morning, with the restaurant across the street I think they were getting fresh seafood every day. So it was loud. But other than that. We loved it
This is a fabulous apartment with views over Marblehead Harbor. The location is unbeatable and it is within a block of three historic restaurants. Having an assigned parking place is also extremely valuable. Phil left information about the area, coffee pods for the Keurig and enough food in the refrigerator for breakfasts. The weather precluded use of the roof deck but in the summer it would be a lovely place to read and watch boats in the harbor. Definitely the best VRBO my wife and I have stayed in. Please note that it is on the third floor.
Phil has a great place right on the wharf! Beautiful view. Very convenient to several restaurants of different styles - loved Maddies...like an Irish pub. The local grocery store was a short stroll. Phil, your newly renovated kitchen was much enjoyed. We spent two amazing weeks in this comfortable condo. We cannot say enough good things about our Marblehead experience at this condo.
