Bill & Carol Emerson are seasoned travelers all over the US, Canada & parts of Europe (family in Bavaria, Germany). They met in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, serving there after graduating from Dartmouth (Bill) and Saint Joseph's College (Carol) Before starting a family, Carol took an MAT from UNH, then had three boys (now dads themselves), Bill an MA from the U. Arizona; they settled in Acton, MA for 25 years: there they ran day care centers, a crafts business, started Emerson Ecologics, Carol got an MED in Theater from Emerson College, directed and then they moved to Maine to start EdgeWater Farm B&B. They also have a Lake Sunapee lakefront property for rent in both summer and winter.

It's beautiful - with plenty of acreage for farming & gardening; nice people live here; it's near fabulous beaches, cultural offerings, clean air, nature & wildlife; and it's quiet, clean, safe - AND - you can see the stars, Milky Way and galaxies at night!!! Also - we're not too far way from family & Sunapee, NH - where we have gatherings several times a year. (See second photo on Photo page)
This comfortable house is a home; we want our guest/renters to feel at ease, so they can kick back and enjoy everything this place has to offer, from the gardens and pool to the the nearby beaches and activity-rich area. We have a large sunny, lodge-feeling, cathedral-ceilinged, Sun Room gathering area where we serve/share meals, games and birdwatch. Leave-taking the other day, a guest remarked: "I love it here!" and we shared a big hug. That's why we're still B&B-ing after 20 years!
