About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 2

Mountain cabins don’t get much more romantic than Rustic Charm. Perched among towering trees in Gatlinburg’s exclusive Cobbly Nob neighborhood, pet-friendly getaway for 2 is worthy of its name.

A bijou of a log cabin, Rustic Charm looks out over lush woodlands toward the Smoky Mountains. A wall of picture windows lets you marvel at the view even while you’re indoors—but you’ll want to head out to the deck every chance you get. You can sit on the deck’s cushioned seats and revel in the singing of wrens and warblers in the morning and the chirping of whip-poor-wills and crickets at night. Evenings are an especially romantic time to luxuriate in the deck’s hot tub: just you, your sweetheart, and the trove of stars twinkling above.

If the weather is a bit chilly or damp for soaking alfresco, you can laze among the steamy bubbles of the indoor jetted tub. It’s large enough to accommodate both of you. Relaxing among its massaging jets of water is a wonderful way to end a day of hiking, biking, or golfing—and an equally wonderful way to start a romantic evening.

A handsome roll-arm sofa anchors Rustic Charm’s sitting area. You’ll love nestling there with your special someone as you watch a movie on the flat-panel TV with cable and a DVD player. In winter the gas fireplace will bathe the wood-planked floors, walls, and beamed ceiling in an inviting golden glow.

The dining table seats 4, so you can invite friends over for drinks or a meal. It’s particularly well suited, however, for a candlelit dinner for 2. The kitchen is equipped with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware. Whether you’re preparing a multicourse feast or reheating leftovers from the previous night’s restaurant meal, you’ll find all the equipment you need.

Rustic Charm’s king-size 4-poster bed is so inviting and comfortable, you might find yourself lounging and lazing on it far longer than you meant to. And why not: You are on vacation, after all! Go ahead and sprawl out as you surf the web via the free WiFi, catch up on your reading… or catch up on your sleep.

Because Rustic Charm is within Cobbly Nob—itself set within a 1,000-acre resort—during the summer you’ll have free access to the neighborhood’s 3 pool areas. Each includes a changing area and a poolside patio where you can relax on chaises. The neighborhood also features lovely walking trails. And at the bottom of Cobbly Nob, less than a mile from the cabin, is the award-winning Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by Grand Slam champion Gary Player.

Nearly as close—less than 2 miles away—is Climb Works, where you can explore the mountains via zip line or mountain bike. Rustic Charm is also just a 15-minute drive to both the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a wonderland of wildlife, wildflowers, and waterfalls, and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an 8-mile trail of more than 120 galleries, shops, and studios offering everything from watercolors to woodcarvings. Just a bit farther is downtown Gatlinburg, home to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Guinness World Records Adventure, distilleries, thrill rides, and the tram that carries you over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.

There’s plenty to see and do when you stay at Rustic Charm. Then again, if you want to do little more than enjoy the company of your special someone while surrounded by nature’s grandeur, Rustic Charm is ideal for that too. Treat yourself and your sweetheart to a getaway you’ll both long remember: Book your stay at Rustic Charm today.

The cabin was beautiful, and so were the views.

My husband and I went for our honeymoon and hope to return for our anniversary next year. We enjoyed the fireplace, hot tube and cooking our meals in the kitchen. We also enjoyed exploring all the nearby towns. There was so much to do we couldn’t do everything we wanted to do.

Cozy Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Some of our favorite memories from the trip were in the cabin! The views from the large windows and the natural light were beautiful. Our favorite thing to do was to sit in the hot tub and look right out at the mountains. It's just enough space for two (and a fur baby). The bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. It's also a really good distance from everything in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The traffic was a little excessive due to the car show going on this weekend, but we were able to avoid most of it with back roads. There was also a very cool nearby zip line (CLIMB Works) and white water rafting place (Smoky Mountain Outdoors) not too far away that we took advantage of! Also, we received a nice voicemail from the owners our first day to see how our stay was going. That was very thoughtful and made us feel welcome! The only thing that we might change would be optional curtains for the very top windows in the cabin because as soon as the sun came up each morning the light was full force. Other than that we had no problems and would love to return in the future!!
