Croyde Sands, Flat 1 in Lorna Doone, a former grand Edwardian house set in its own private gardens is a great location for Croyde beach in North Devon. Enjoy the large new sun deck and glimpses of the sea. This is a truly stunning ground floor luxury apartment which has been completely refurbished with no expense spared. The ground floor makes it particularly attractive as it allows ready access to the large private gardens and a gate ensures the safety of children playing on the lawns.

The lounge is furnished with new luxurious sofas, one of which converts into a double bed. There is a sleek modern inset fire, TV, DVD, sound system with Bose speakers, Ipod docking station and free wifi.

The newly fitted high spec kitchen has top of the range hob and oven, overhead extractor with inbuilt lights, all new appliances: microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher and is fully equipped with an extensive range of new kitchen accessories. There are 3 delightful bedrooms.

The lounge is planned in such a way as to provide a harmonious relaxed open plan environment, integrating the kitchen.

The master bedroom has a new king sized bed, built in wardrobe, TV with integral DVD, and a radio and CD player. It has its own en suite, with shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

The second bedroom has two single new beds and all matching furniture, whilst the third bedroom offers flexibility to sleep one or two people, with its single bed and matching pull out sturdy guest bed.

The main family bathroom is situated in the hall and is beautifully tiled throughout with bath, separate shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

Throughout the freshly decorated apartment, new flooring has been laid and new central heating installed.

As it is ground floor, its twin double patio doors open out onto its own private decked patio, with patio furniture, barbecue and views out over the garden to catch small views of the sea. The beach is minutes away whilst all the amenities of Croyde itself are also within easy walking distance.

There are large communal gardens and two dedicated parking spaces.

Electricity, heating and the new linen and towels are all inclusive, but please do bring your own beach towels. No pets.

Flat 1 Lorna Doone exceeded all expectations everything about the property was gorgeous. The closeness to the beach made it ideal for my family of surfers. The main ensuite bedroom with the amazing comfortable bed and own television made it perfect for a relaxing holiday. We all look forward to the next time .

We spent a lot of money totally refurbishing it to make it a restful and lovely "home from home". Your words make the hard work all worth while. So glad you loved the comfy master bed! It's got a special mattress and we too love snuggling down into it on the rare occasion we get to enjoy it! As we have surfers in the family being able to check the waves -just minutes away -is a real bonus. And our grandchildren adore running down to the sea. This is a ground floor 3 bedroom apartment that is quite simply fabulous. Double room has an en suite which is perfect, bed is to die for, plus tv in the room if the grown ups want to escape!

The two twin rooms are plenty spacious enough for two teenagers in each and all their stuff. Main bathroom is lovely, heated towel rail, shower attachment over the bath plus a separate shower cubicle, all looked brand new to us, and was certainly good quality.

The main living space is open plan and was plenty big enough for all of us, with 2 large sofas and a big dining table. The kitchen is superbly equipped, no need to remember essentials like bottle openers! Plenty of cutlery, glasses, crockery, cookware etc etc, excellent hob & oven, big fridge / freezer and microwave.

Lovely deck outside with table, chairs & BBQ, overlooking the large garden. On foot, the property is 3 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to the Village centre.

Would love to go back some time and would thoroughly recommend this apartment for a family holiday. Thanks so much the owners for letting this out, it's a gem!

Bright,spacious,comfortable home from home!

Arriving at Lorna Doone we held our breath as we walked thru the apt door but all our little doubts were soon dispelled! The overall standard of the apartment was of great quality, impressed with the cleanliness and the comfort of beds and bathrooms we set about claiming our rooms and just chilled for the week. There really wasn't anything missing. The beach is beautiful and kept that way, the local pubs are friendly and there are nice takeaways in Braunton( a few minutes away by car) if you fancy a change. Croyde surf academy are the people my wife chose to give our girls their first surfing lessons and they can only be recommended by us also! We had friends staying in Woolacome and they joined us for a BBQ one evening and at one stage Jezza whispered to his son Tom to get out and take off the distributor cap on the car to allow them and their family to stay! We found some great walks out over Baggy Point to Woolacombe and superb places to eat - NC@EX34 in Woolacombe was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to

'Croyde Sands' in the stunning Lorna Doone apartments, in Croyde, North Devon is set in its own landscaped gardens and is literally a few minutes away from the glorious beach of Croyde. . The picturesque typical Devonian village of Croyde is also within easy walking distance and offers beautiful thatched pubs, the most famous of which is 'The Thatch', much loved by both surfers and families alike. There is also a range of tourist shops,an ice cream parlor, cafes, restaurants and an ample number of surf hire shops in Croyde. The area boasts other magnificent beaches: Saunton Sands, 5 minutes away, Puttsborough, 10 minutes away and Woolecombe, 15 minutes drive away. All are blue flagged beaches.

For golfers, Saunton Sands, the famous links course, has just got to be experienced, although there are many other courses in the region. For walkers, Baggy Point is a short but beautiful walk as well as the Tarka Trail for the more adventurous. The kids will have a ball on the golden sands of the beaches. The surfers will be in heaven. There are innumerable stunning villages in this entire area with many tourist attractions which makes Croyde such an attractive location for a holiday which will suit all tastes.
