The rural house “El Trujal de las Bardenas” is situated in the south of Navarre (La Ribera) next to the Ebro River and overlooking the natural area “Bardenas Reales”. It is just 1 kilometre from Cabanillas, 7 from Tudela and 30 from “El Moncayo”.
The main house, known as “La casa de las Marquesas” (The Marchioness’s House”) dates from the 18th century and “El Trujal” (olive-oil press), located next to the house, was built in the late 17 th century.
The house has been fully restored following the sustainable standards and complies with sustainability standards. It is a self-sufficient house by using renewable energy, so if you are an agro tourism lover and fan of ecological tourism, this house is ideal for you.
“El Trujal de las Bardenas” is a perfect place for groups of friends or families with children. The house has a spacious green space to relax and other areas to enjoy leisure time such as barbecue or “frontón”, a place to practise a typical Basque game called “pelota” (similar to squash but without racket).
