The villa is located overlooking the beautiful Lake Como. One couldn't ask for a better view. We met Gabriela' s mom Lidiha...she was the most interesting person we met in all of Italia in two weeks. Very nice woman. The villa was in a perfect location for my brother and I to sight see. We drove a bunch. Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France...Venice, Genova...all over. I would give any potential renters this heads up....use hwy 41 to go in and out of Belaggio. Not the lakeside minisquel roads that are so narrow. It's very centrally located if your desire is to see a lot of countries!!!!
If you go please tell Lidiha that she comes highly recommended.

As soon as we walked in, I realized that this place was a home, not an empty house with naked walls of a holiday place! I counted 124 or may be more paintings and art effects on the walls! There are so many beautiful things to adorn this place! There are beautiful antique furniture in the living room, and the most breathtaking view of Bellagio! The place was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was equipped much more than my own kitchen! Beds are all excellent. Both ladies are very helpful and understanding. I would recommend it to all those people who love nature's tranquility and beauty. I thank Mrs Lidija and her beautiful daughter Miss Gabriela for letting us stay in their home.
One word of advise for future travelers; before you go, ask Gabriela to give you directions to the place, as our GPS was unable to get us there.
Our stay was absolutely heavenly! While Bellagio has a magic of its own as does the Lake Como Region, staying in this fabulous home, situated high on a hill overlooking the Hamlets and the lakes, magnifyed the experience exponentially! Our hostess Lidija ... she was like a cat you never saw her or heard her but if you needed her she was there. If you like to cook the kitchen is equipped with the highest quality cookware & cutlery. There was absolutely nothing lacking. Our stay was absolutely magical and fantastic in every way and if you are coming to Bellagio, you absolutely must must must stay here! Staying here was a wonderful experience in and of itself and enhanced our visit to Bellagio to the nth degree!
If you are seeking a quiet, peaceful house with a stunning view of Lake Como that really, like REALLY takes your breath away each morning while you are waiting for your coffee to brew, then fire up that email and reserve this house now, as in right NOW! If you don't want these things, then seriously, what is wrong with you?
The furnishings in this house are oldish, and comfortable and casual....kind of like you'd expect to find in your old Italian Grandma's house, if you were born under that charmed star that gave you an Italian grandma with her own place overlooking Lake Como.
The kitchen is serviceable. For Americans it's kind of small and old fashioned, but who cares what us over spoiled Americans think about the kitchen, because darn it, the house is in Bellagio..as in Italy, and all you gots to do is find a restaurant and have your mind blown AGAIN by the food and wine. All you need that kitchen for is coffee and breakfast, and face it, any moron can buy some good bread, cheese and prosciutto for breakfast from the nearby local grocery store.
The covered front patio is the perfect place to end the day of sightseeing with a glass of wine before going to dinner. Plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture beckons for afternoon naps and after one of those lazy afternoons, you'll swear you are never leaving. You will email your boss and tell him that even though you love your soul sucking job, you love Bellagio better and have decided that it's in everybody's best interests that you stay forever in this slice of heaven.
The views from this property are breathtaking and are absolutely worth the somewhat challenging drive to get up the obscure, narrow road to the property (the only minor issue which we quickly got more confident with). This was our first day of driving in Italy and a baptism of fire around the curves of Lake Como and the track up the hill. It is out of town so there is no quick walk anywhere and the car was essential, but both we and our boys love these peaceful haven hideaways. I could barely drag myself away from the dining room window in exchange for the sunny porch and terrace.
The house is truly comfortable and homely as you would expect given it is Lidija's normal place of residence. Immaculately clean and well equipped. I particularly appreciated the plethora of kitchen cooking equipment, decent fridge, herbs growing fresh on the window ledge and plentiful crockery as we chose to eat at home at night. The weather was glorious so we had no need for heating or cooling.
Email communication with Gabriela was excellent. Lidija was very friendly and generous with ample English, and also kindly donated a bottle of her family's wine. We would have liked to stay longer to venture to more of the towns on the lake's edge. Next time!
Many thanks! We had a nice time in your house. We will remember for a long time and never forget the view on the lake. We recommend you and your house!
Many greetings from Germany :-)
