Spacious 3200 square foot Ohio riverfront home in serene, tranquil area yet just off major Louisville highway. Has large open concept area and generous shaded deck overlooking the Ohio River with plenty of space for your whole group to mingle, yet ample space to spread out for solitary time if you wish. Common area has a wall of glass opening onto deck, sunken living room, fully equipped kitchen, riverfront dining room with seating for 8 plus seating for 4 at the kitchen bar, or we can extend the table with a smaller table to create seating for more at the dining room table, wood burning fireplace, large screen tv with cable and Bluray player. Three huge bedrooms plus a fourth smaller room all have queen beds and tvs with streaming. There is also a futon, double-high aerobed, regular sofa, and plenty of floor space for sleeping bags. All bathrooms have showers, soap, hairdryers, and plenty of fresh towels. The yard has ample space for setting up games. There is driveway parking for 5 cars, but no street parking is allowed. This is a peaceful, get away from it all place to grill out on the deck on warm summer days as you watch the sun set, or relax with a drink and a good book down on the dock (closed in winter) where you may spot a blue heron or hear the evening call of the loon. You are welcome to bring your kayaks, boats, etc. and use the dock in season. In the winter, the water view is still beautiful as you watch an assortment of birds fly up to window front feeders from the warmth of the fire. Small day gatherings are okay with advance arrangements. The house is about 2 miles from Gingerwoods, a local wedding venue, 14 miles to Waterfront Park with the walking bridge and playgrounds, 17 miles from downtown Louisville's YUM Stadium, the Belle of Louisville, Science Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum, and Kentucky Center For the Arts, 19 miles from Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, 20 miles from Churchill Downs, 17 miles from the Louisville Zoo and Splash Park and 20 miles to the Parklands of Floyds Fork where you can rent canoes or kayaks to ride on the creek or bicycle for miles along a paved bike path or enjoy the spray parks, playgrounds, and picnic areas. We are 9 miles from a large theater and major shopping centers.

About Becky Kiefer
I am a native Louisvillian, and a retired teacher who works part-time, has 3 grown children, and loves to travel.
Becky Kiefer purchased this House in 1997
Why Becky Kiefer chose Prospect
My family have been boaters for many years. We happened upon this house, perfect for us, which has been my little piece of heaven for over 15 years. As I drove home from a hectic day, I could literally feel the stress drain away. I love being here on the mighty Ohio, where it feels like being on vacation every day.
What makes this House unique
The way the sun lights up the island across the river is a moment of joy at the beginning of each day, and the sunsets can sometimes turn the water a brilliant shade of orange. The quiet calm in the winter is a contrast to the activity of boats cruising by in the summer. Both are my pleasure as I spend time reading on the swing in my favorite "room", the deck overlooking the river.

Wonderful home with an amazing view
Wonderful home! 4 couples stayed here for a weekend getaway. Everyone had enough room and we were all comfortable. Becky was an amazing host and so great to work with. The location is amazing and we would definitely rent this house again.
A waterside gem
Our extended family had a great time staying in Becky's house on the shore of the Ohio River for the Thanksgiving weekend. We were a group made up of my mom, her three daughters and their families. There was plenty of room for all of us to relax and spend time together but not feel as if we were on top of each other. We were meeting in Louisville as it was roughly in the middle of Atlanta and Michigan. Staying in this house with its great deck, and sweeping views of the Ohio River made it feel more like a vacation. The house was well stocked with towels, linens, blankets and pillows, and was set up with almost everything we needed to make an abbreviated Thanksgiving meal. Becky was prompt in responding to any questions that we had. We were thankful to have found such a great place to spend our long weekend, and would highly recommend it to others! Thanks for sharing your home with us, Becky!
The view is tru amazing
Our family has a Fall vacation every year and this house was awesome. The minute we walked in the door, we were not disappointed. The view out the glass windows of the back of the house facing the river, is amazing. It was a pleasure to look and gaze at the flowing Ohio River. Our grandchildren loved seeing the barges pass by on their journey. The house really was well stocked and we never had to go to the store for everyday conveniences.
House was well stocked. Becky was a delight and wonderful to work with. Louisville is a neat city with lots to do and not more than 20 minutes to the downtown area. We will come again and recommend it to others.
"Just Beautiful With Spectacular Views"
My stay was for the 2018 Breeders Cup. When we checked in the owner "Becky" was at the house. Just a wonderful sweet person. The house was very clean, spacious and absolutely beautiful!! Behind the house is the Ohio River.so tranquil. I love that the house is off the main road. The street is quiet and filled with mature trees. I would highly recommend Becky's home!!!
Perfect Place for our group of 8
Camp Husky was perfect for our group of 8. The bedrooms were huge and the beds were super comfy. Each couple had their own private space to retreat to if they wanted alone time. The view was beautiful and we loved watching the barges go up and down the river. The home is close to all of the distilleries which made it easy for many day trips. We will be back and hope Becky continues to share her beautiful home for years to come.
It rained most of the time we were there, but it was nice looking out on the river. Inside of house was fantastic for my family.
Stay in a gorgeous and relaxing away-from-it-all location, yet be within a 30-minute drive to Churchtill Downs, Kentucky Kingdom, downtown Louisville, the Louisville Zoo, major shopping centers and movie theaters.
