Beautiful relaxing cosy barn
We had a very relaxing stay at the barn, very warm in December with great underfloor heating, peaceful setting, all amenities provided. Great communication from owner with any questions. A lovely stay!
Thank you for your lovely review and I am delighted you enjoyed the barn it was a pleasure to meet you and have you as guests. Hope you can come back soon!
Fantastic barn, ideal for family time and beautiful walks
The barn was cosy and clean, beds were comfortable and the garden beautiful. Kay was very helpful, even dashing over with batteries for the dvd remote one day. We try not to watch tv when we do a family break but with a couple of wet days it was quite nice to relax after a wet dog walk and watch a dvd, plus my husband and father in law were over the moon with the sports sky package meaning they could watch the football.
There’s a spare fridge in the adjacent utility area so there was no problem ordering a big shop and keeping everything fresh. Local pubs were great and the walking, running and mountain biking in the area was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Great place in a beautiful location. Friendly welcome by Kay.
The barn is well equipped and comfortable although we found some aspects of the kitchen area a little frustrating. (The oven seemed unpredictable!) Kay responds very quickly to any queries. We could have done with oven gloves but didn't think to ask for some. I'm sure Kay would have provided them if I had asked her. It was bitterly cold outside from our second day there but the underfloor heating is perfect and we never needed to light the wood burner. We loved watching birds and young deer in the adjacent field from the dining area.
The countryside and walking routes in the area are brilliant and easy to reach. It would be a perfect place to stay in the summer. We still walked out in the face of oncoming snow and were so pleased to get back to the lovely warm barn. The barn decor is homely and welcoming, not pristine, so it felt comfortable to take the dog into.
Dear Collette, Very happy you loved the barn and the cosy atmosphere, it was apleasure to have you stay. Your feedback very important and appreciate your mentioning the oven gloves...new ones supplied, also sorry you found the oven a bit frustrating, have not had this mentioned before but have put the operating instructions close to hand just in case for the future. We hope you can come back in the summer as agree it is wonderful then too.
Awesome accommodation and hosts
Great location, accommodation and hosts. Want a taste of the beautiful Surrey countryside and easy access to London? . Look no further than this accommodation.
Thank you Chris for your lovely review and it was a real pleasure to have you and your family stay at the Barn.Hope you can visit again!
a beautiful, peaceful oasis in a great location
We found exactly what we were looking for -a peaceful, country retreat where we could relax and re-connect with nature whilst also being able to entertain three teenagers. The barn is a superb, well furnished place to stay in an amazing setting -surrounded by fields and woodland with a stunning walled garden -and table tennis-all at our disposal. It's convenient for various places of interest, lovely local villages and towns and pubs for eating out.The weather was kind to us and it was tempting to just stay local but we had some great day trips visiting Brighton, Go Ape, Cranleigh, Shere, Dorking .The owners Kay and Stuart are really friendly and helpful and Milly the dog made us feel very special. We followed the week with a five day trip in London during which the kids said they wanted to be back in Surrey! We'll definitely be back. Thank you!
Lovely Barn Conversion
- Lovely views
- Very kind owner
- Beautiful Barn Conversion
- Well equipped
- Close to main house, but enough privacy at the back of the barn
- Trampoline for the children
- Many flies in the kitchen area, hard to prevent
- The house is quite dusty (my daughter and I got a bit of an allergic reaction)
All in all we had a great week.
(Family of 6 from The Netherlands)
Thank you for your review and I am happy you had a great week in the barn and thought the barn beautiful. It is a very special location that the photographs don't really capture the beauty of the views.
I am sorry the flies were a bit of a problem that week, fortunately they disappeared as quickly as they arrived. We have also re sealed all exposed oak beams.
We strive to have the highest standards and your feedback is very important to us. We love to see so many of our guests come back and enjoy the barn year after year and hope you and your family will return also.
