My family of four, including two teens, stayed at this adorable cottage on Worthley Pond for 4 nights. This 2 bedroom accommodated us perfectly. Beautifully remodeled cottage with pine board tongue & groove walls, brand new kitchen & bath, appliances, washer/dryer. The queen master bed was comfortable & the two single beds in loft space were cozy. Interior was immaculate. Gas fireplace added a warm ambience to the space. Watch your head going upstairs. Perfect spot to get away for those who like to get the most of Maine. Owners were very considerate/polite & the rate is very reasonable for the quality & privacy you receive here. Super quiet in dead of winter. We came up here to snowboard Sunday River Mountain. The cottage is a quick 35 minute drive. Highly recommend this rental, will stay again for our getaways to the mountains of Maine.
We had a great time staying here for a weekend this winter! The weather was freezing but the house was warm and inviting. The trip to ski was not far, about 35 minutes. The owners were accommodating and kind. The views were beautiful! We will definitely be looking to stay here again over the summer to enjoy the lake.
The frozen lake was beautiful. Seeing the sunrise on it every morning was lovely to look at. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped. The bathroom is small, but still nice. The bedrooms were a little small, but overall it was a very nice place to stay. We would definitely stay there again.
Very charming newly-remodeled cabin. In fact it's so newly remodeled it was still missing a few faceplates (wall plugs and one switch). The kitchen appliances are better than we have at home! The beds are new, linens soft and fresh, and bath fixtures are clean and very new.
The view from the little love seat made reading my book almost impossible - the quiet water, rainbow of fall colors across the lake, clear blue sky - all made the book superfluous. I just sat and enjoyed the view for hours. Some mornings there was a charming mist rising off the pond that seemed almost magical.
Getting used to climbing up and down the tight stairs to the bedroom became second nature, and we loved the sound of the rain just barely above our heads as we lay snuggled in bed.
We were concerned the small gas stove wouldn't keep us warm, but it put out so much heat we kept having to turn the thermostat down!
Oh, and the internet was lightening fast.
Many thanks to the owners for putting so much work into making this such a charming little place to spend a week leaf-peeping!
The cabin was great - recently renovated, right on the lake, and had everything we needed. We arrived on Saturday and the lake was pretty busy with boats and water skiers. By Sunday afternoon almost everyone was gone and it was a quiet, peaceful week on the lake. The cabin was great for our dogs and the perfect size for a couple or small family. The owners were accessible if we needed anything and do a great job maintaining the property. Thanks again for a great vacation.
Everything you need is here. The property is small, but surprisingly quiet and private. The view from the panoramic windows makes you feel like you are on the water. The road, which is directly behind the camp, is not heavily traveled, and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The cottage has been updated and very pretty and convenient. Our stay was great.
