Two bedroom apartment, well located, with very nearby parking

Nice apartment recently remodeled, located in the historic district of Albaicin, considered by UNESCO World Heritage Site. Comprising two bedrooms with a double bed each, a living room with TV and sofa bed, open kitchen fully equipped with microwave, refrigerator and washing machine. Full bathroom. Very bright, exterior, with three beautiful balconies overlooking the famous Plaza Aliatar. It has a nice communal terrace with garden furniture at the top of the building, with amazing views over the Albaicin, the Generalife and the viewpoint of San Miguel Alto.

A ten minute walk from downtown, bus stop at the door of the apartment. With easy parking within five minutes walk.

A five minute walk from Sacromonte and the Mirador de San Nicolas, known worldwide for its spectacular views of the Alhambra.

Fifteen minutes walk from the Alhambra.

Surrounded by tapas bars and restaurants.

Thirty minutes drive from Sierra Nevada, the best ski stations of Spain with more skiable kilometers.

Granada charm

I loved the apartment and Plaza Aliatar. It's a good jumping off point for exploring Granada and the neighborhood has everything. The apartment is clean, fresh and overlooks plaza where musicians perform at night. Three restaurants right there.

Great Place to stay!

A great place to stay for visiting all the interesting parts of Granada. Very helpful contacts with the owners prior to our visit. Sadly the weather was not at it's best during our visit but it didn't detract from our enjoyment. The 'Hop On Hop Off' tourist train is very good value for 24 or 48 hour tickets with a stop about 200mtrs from the property every 20 minutes, also the circular route small buses C1 and C2 depart nearby with a 1.40Euro fixed price journey will take you to most of the places of interest also departing every 20 minutes. There are three Tapas Bars/Restaurants in the Plaza and many more in the near vicinity and a small supermarket and other shops. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious and suited us extremely well. The only improvements that I could recommend would be a shelf or cabinet in the bathroom and maybe some mugs in the kitchen as well as the cups and saucers. On the whole a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you Herminia for making our holiday break something special.

Lovely owners, convenient location

My husband and I stayed for two weeks with my parents, and this place worked really well for us. The two bedrooms are separated by the lounge/kitchen area, which we liked. Herminia and her husband are very responsive - when I asked if we could have another pot (there were several pans but only one pot), they brought one to us a few hours later. We were staying for two weeks and cooked quite a bit, so this was much appreciated. They also had a lovely gift for us when we arrived.

There are some restaurants below, but things wind down by midnight. There seemed to be some kind of recycling or trash collection at odd hours at night, but it didn't really bother us much, because it's relatively quiet. My parents are elderly and both use a cane, but found it easy to get around. I was able to find less steep ways to get to Mirador San Nicholas, for example, and there is a bus stop and taxi rank around the corner. I would definitely consider staying again!

Herminia was great...the apartment wasn't.

Herminia was absolutely wonderful. Prior to arriving to the apartment, we got lost and she was nice enough to meet us, sit in the car with us and show us the way. She even helped push my kid's stroller!! She was very responsive to my emails. The only problem is that the actual apartment we wanted (the one pictured, Rental 1011095 ) isn't the one we got. We were told this apartment didn't have an AC and that she'd give us another one. The new apartment we got (which is not pictured here) wasn't so great. It lacked basic amenities, such as a coffee pot, a properly working washer, a dish rack, a place to eat, and the free parking was very far from it. It was also pretty dingy looking, the toilet seat was broken, etc. The apartment needs a lot of work.

It only had one AC to cool the entire two bedroom apartment, so the rooms remained hot. We had to leave the bedrooms open all day and night so it could get some air, so there was no privacy at all, which was very difficult with two young children running all over the place. The rooms didn't even have fans.

The good thing was that the new apartment had an excellent location, literally right upstairs from a ton of markets, restaurants, etc. The downside being, people were up at 2 am singing and making noise right outside our window.

I appreciate Herminia's honesty about the original apartment not having an AC, but the new one we got wasn't good.

Great location, lovely appartment

We were three adults staying for 3 nights and we could not have chosen a better location for our stay. The apartment had everything we needed and Heminia was very helpful when we arrived. The area had several bars each serving small tapas with drinks, two of which were within metres of the front door. Albaicin district was worth exploring and contained all the shops one requires when self catering. All in all we had a great time
