Five bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home with magnificent water views and lovely yard.
One of the owners, was born in Maryland and spent many of her younger years on and around the Chesapeake Bay. She and her husband bought the Cara Cove house in 1996 and completely renovated it. They love the property and hope renters will enjoy the property as much as they have.
Susan purchased this House in 1996
Why Susan chose North East
Reasons the owners chose this property include access to the water for swimming, water sports, boating, fishing kayaking; the lovely ambiance, beautiful views and quiet, peaceful daily life; the plethora of wildlife; the cute town of North East; the many good restaurants close by (some accessible by boat as well as car); and the proximity to major Northeast Cities
What makes this House unique
Charming waterfront house with fantastic views of the upper Chesapeake bay. Property includes private beach, private dock, private picnic area and lots of space for all kinds of outdoor recreational activities. Included also are two golf chipping greens, a horse shoe game area, a kayak, water floats, a boccie ball game, and a croquet set. The property has patio sitting areas at various locations around the property to enhance our guests ability to enjoy the incredible views. The property is secluded and a great place to enjoy a quiet vacation away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Yet it is only minutes away from some very nice restaurants and shops in the charming town of North East as well as nearby Havre de Grace and Charlestown.

Perfect home away from home!
We have rented many VRBO properties over the years. Some owners rent out a house... other owners have a home that they love and wish to share with others. Such is this North East MD property.
We rented this property as a home base for our daughter's wedding at Chesapeake Inn. There were nine of us. The home offers plenty of personal space for everyone, yet multiple spacious rooms for guests to gather. By far, our favorite "room" was the large patio facing the fabulous water view. Don't forget to have your morning coffee on the patio. Nature will not fail to put on a show.
There is nearby shopping to get anything you might need during your stay. North East offers fun browsing and restaurants worth visiting. Mostly, we just felt at home and didn't want to leave. It was truly a perfect place to reconnect with family and friends.
Should you have any issues while visiting here, don't fret. The owners are quick to respond... no problem.
Thank you, John and Susan, for sharing your home with our family. We made many memories and just might be back to make more!

EXACTLY what we were looking for!
We recently enjoyed our family Thanksgiving together in this incredibly beautiful home on the Chesapeake. With two children in tow, we had so much fun and can only imagine how fabulous it must be as well in the spring and summer months! Susan, the owner, was so helpful and accommodating... inviting any and all questions, even though it was Thanksgiving! PS: As a previous guest has remarked... the pictures do not do it justice!
Beautiful and peaceful property
This is a beautiful and well appointed property, exactly as advertised. Susan, the owner, is very responsive and the managing agent ensured the house was spotless and well stocked with paper goods when we arrived. The house and overall grounds are very well maintained with truly lovely waterfront. It has everything you need and the setting is just gorgeous. Overall, we had a great weekend and enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out over the water, going into the cute little town of North East and driving around to the various sites, including the lighthouse. Delicious meals at Steak & Main and Woody’s, and pizza at Bella Pizza. Highly recommend this property
As advertised. Tranquil and stunning
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Cara Cove house, the views and sunsets are amazing, the house is very comfortable, cozy, and private, and the nearby town and restaurants are very good too, especially the crab shack. You'll feel at home right away. The house is great for children, everything is there, huge lawn, beach, swimming, toys, climbing trees, we'll definitely come back. thank you very much.
