Wonderful villa to stay and relax
Towards the end of the summer we had a great vacation in Vizinada were we stayed for 2 weeks in the wonderful Villa Serenity.
We that are two families from Munich – 4 adults and 4 kids between 4 and 8.
We found Villa Serenity exactly as we imagined from the pictures and we loved it right away. The highlights are the 4 x 8 m Pool that we used constantly and the view over the hills of Istria with Motovun in the middle. The house is very stylish with a huge kitchen/living room and 4 large bedrooms each with a separate bathroom. We just had that feeling, that this is the place to be.
I especially liked the morning hours when the sun reflects on the Pool and gives the Kitchen celling a little glitter and when the relaxed and contented atmosphere takes any hurries for additional activities. There are actually plenty of possibilities for trips to the sea or the county side or for hiking and biking. From time to time we just had to stay to enjoy continuous pooling at the villa and later a bbq under the Istrian stars.
Beautiful Villa in a wonderful town in Istria
Villa Serenity was exactly what we were hoping it would be. A beautiful Villa, peaceful, spacious, with amazing views of Motovun from the pool and situated within a short walk of Vizinada, great restaurants and a small cafe/bar that became a fun place to watch Croatia in Euro 2016!
Waking Up to a View to Die For
A superb house in a lovely part of the world. This spacious four bedroom house exceed our expectations. It is tastefully decorated, very well maintained and we immediately felt at home. We drank many cups of coffee on the back patio by the pool overlooking a valley view to die for, a view that changes dramatically from the sunrise which illuminates the dramatic misty valley below to the setting sun, lighting up the evening sky. There are a few local places within walking distance for a drink or a few groceries and a load of good eating places within a few minutes drive. The ocean is about 20 minutes away and Istria is a lovely part of the world to explore. We chilled, relaxed, ate, played Mexican Train Dominoes and were very much in our element. Oh yes, we even got ambitious and used the pool for our morning swim! Sigh .......
Hi Richard. Many thanks for taking the time to review Villa Serenity. We're really happy that you enjoyed your stay. I shall have to google Mexican Train Dominoes!! I've never heard of that! Best wishes Caroline
Beautiful villa with amazing views
What an amazing vacation! The house was exactly what we hoped for and Croatia is a stunning place filled with lovely sites and friendly people. With four lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, our family of six could easily spread out. Everything about the house was just right and the view is breathtaking. The pool was so clean and regularly maintained by a pool service. The house had everything we could need including a stash of British decorating magazines! Caroline left wine and crackers for us when we arrived and helped us schedule several terrific day trips. The boat ride in Rovinj was a favorite. This was our first attempt at renting a house overseas and were a bit nervous about it but Caroline was always available and helped us every step of the way. She was a gem to work with.
Hi Judy. Many thanks for taking the time to review Villa Serenity. So glad you enjoyed your stay and your family re-union. I agree with you about the view! It is spectacular and somehow you never get tired of looking at it. All the very best to you and your family.
ALWAYS AND FOREVER
I had luck to travel all the round on this Planet. Istria was always on the top of my favorites. Vizinada and villa Serenity is something very special. It's not the place to go to disco or to sit in the fancy cafes. You should go there if you want peace, silence, view to wine-yards hills, smell of istrian grasses (best smell in the world), unspoiled people and nature. There is great barbique in the garden but if you don't know how to prepare fish or meat you will find a lot of "konoba's" (local restaurants) with a great food. If you need quick gateway from nervous civilization this is the place. This summer was a farewell holiday from Europe for our family as we moved to USA. This is a great way to remember old continent.
With a population of around 250, the sleepy village of Vižinada is an ideal getaway from the speed of daily life and yet ideally positioned as a base from which to visit the famous Roman towns of Porec and Pula, the medieval hill top villages of Motovun and Groznjan, the Venetian built promontory of Rovinj and the Austro Hapsburgian town of Opatija. Villa Serenity stands at the edge of the village and atop a hill with sweeping views over the Mirna valley and across to Motovun. Two local supermarkets within walking distance offer essential goods and daily fresh bread.
