Close to lift and Club Solitude hot tub and pool! Very comfortable and spacious. Underground parking and ski storage cage! Would overall recommend the property and will be returning in the future!
The condo was a great value for the money. We enjoyed our stay and Kevin was very accommodating and quick to reply if I needed to ask a question during our stay.
The only minor issues are as others mentioned no hooks to hang anything. We had to use the coat hangers and two closets to hang everything and leave those doors open to dry things. Also every time we entered the condo there was a musty odor but it was not noticeable in a couple minutes. Other than that the pillows someone else mentioned seemed fine.
Only other complaint I will mention is it is not ski in/ski out. It is walk in/walk out. You have about 75 yards to the lift so if you are carrying your skis and your kids keep that in mind.
No better place for us! Extremely easy to get in and out. Clean! Hot tub and amenities are great. My second time staying there. Will alway come back. Stop and grab groceries before you head up the canyon and you are set for your stay. Thanks Kevin!!!
Great VRBO property
Stayed at Solitude Ski Resort Powerhorn #203 owned by Kevin Rose. Great little condo perfect for access to the local resorts around Salt Lake City. 30-45 minute drive from the airport. Clean, comfortable, safe, lots of amenities, reasonably priced...what more could one ask for? Only drawback was that some of the surrounding guests in other condos got a little noisy, but then again what would you expect from a bunch of drunk skiers and boarders? Would definitely stay there again.
Great condo in a great location!
We just got back from Kevin's condo and my husband and I and our two kids had a fantastic time! The condo is well stocked and comfortable. It's just a short walk out to the slopes. Having the ski rental shop downstairs was also a big plus. We ended up flying in late so all the grocery stores were closed in salt lake (that we saw) so we ended up eating out for dinner which was fine because we really liked the local restaurants. The front desk has a little store with some basics (eggs, milk, wine and beer etc) so that was nice as we were able to have breakfast in the condo. Kevin was very responsive to my many many messages. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Cozy Condo in Solitude Village
We had a fun ski vacation at Solitude, staying in this cozy condo. The unit was nicely decorated and in great shape. There is a full kitchen, although we really only used the refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable. My kids slept on the two couch "hide-a-beds" and they didn't complain, so they must have been comfortable enough. The dining room table seats six comfortably. The view from the condo is a courtyard (not the mountain), but that's irrelevant to me. My only complaints are that there weren't enough towels for my family and the shampoo/soap wasn't enough for all of us. I purchased an extra towel and left it there, and I purchased some soap and shampoo and left it there, too, so if you're one of the next to visit the condo (and you have five guests) you each get a towel and there should be plenty of shampoo. Enjoy!
The Village at Solitude offers World class Skiing, Massage, Spa, Disc Golf, Ice Skating, Cross Country Skiing, Movies, and Billiards. Club Solitude includes a heated outdoor pool, hottubs, sauna, kids game room, movie theater, billiards. There are free ski storage, ice and laundry facilities in the Powderhorn Building. It's a short drive to all the other Utah ski resorts - Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, Canyons, Park City, Deer Valley.
