The guest house has been completely renovated with antique furnishings and historic photos of Texas A&M University. It includes a porch for sitting out, and the back yard can be reserved for entertaining.
The main house was built in 1936 by a professor in the Texas A&M Veterinary School, and although it has been updated, the structure and its furnishings, are a vivid reminder of its past. The living areas in the main home (i.e. living room, study, dining room, kitchen, and breakfast room), are also available for rent, for modest sized receptions, for a variety of occasions, such as for wedding receptions or bridal showers.
In addition to the location in an historic neighborhood close to the campus of Texas A&M University, College Station is the home of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library, which is full of historical exhibits.
The owners also have property in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, which is linked to their website below.

Vicky and Josh Harrison moved to College Station in 2004. They split time between their historic home here, which was built by a professor in the Texas A&M Vet School, back in 1936, and a home in The Woodlands, where Josh practices law. The photo above was taken in August, 2012, at Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia.
Josh Harrison purchased this apartment in 2004
We purchased this home because of the neighborhood. It is a unique area of older homes, next to the campus of Texas A&M University.
Visitors will experience a comfortable place to stay with antique furnishings and a large deck with a view overlooking the back yard and the rest of the neighborhood. It is a great neighborhood to take a walk to the Texas A&M campus or to local parks well within walking distance. You might enjoy spending some time walking in our neighborhood among all of the old homes. There is a park called Brison Park on Dexter, which is just 3 blocks west of Lee. This is a very nice park. But, watch out for the flock of guineas.
We stayed at The Loft over Valentine's weekend 2015 and had a wonderful time! This location is just down the street from the campus. We arrived late afternoon and decided to postpone our original plans to stay and enjoy the terrace instead. Very relaxing location among beautiful homes in a quiet setting. We enjoyed walks everyday. The owners are excellent hosts and Vicki even baked breakfast breads that were delicious. We will definitely try to stay here again soon!
My husband and I stayed at Josh and Vicki's place on a February weekend this winter. Their loft is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and was furnished with anything we could need. We loved their lovely property and neighborhood in Southside and enjoyed walking our dogs among all the beautiful unique historic homes and then over practically right across the street on the Texas A&M campus. Vicky left some amazing breakfast breads she had prepared for us along with the tastiest large fruit assortment, juice, coffee and milk. Our college student had space to rest on the pullout couch and found it so comfy she didn't want to leave. We can't wait to return and have already booked two more weekends for game day.
We rented the guest house from Josh and his wife the weekend of our son's A&M graduation in May 2013. We were really happy with our accommodations for my husband and I and our one younger son. Unbeknownst to us, our older son had to check out of the dorm a day earlier than planned, and we were able make room for him with the very nice Aerobed they had tucked away in the closet. It was a great surprise how they had also stocked the refrigerator with breakfast goodies and coffee fixin's. True Southern Hospitality! We also requested permission to have a small gathering graduation evening, and were pleased with how they accommodated our entertainment needs by supplying coolers, tables, chairs etc. Our only disappointment was that we found this gem at the end of our many annual trips to Aggieland. Since we live in Virginia, our Aggieland visit have basically come to an end, but I wouldn't be surprised if our son doesn't stay here in the future when he visits for SEC football weekends. Thanks, Josh, for a great weekend!
We have visited now twice in hotels and then decided to try here. This is the only place we will stay from now on. I felt like I was at home as opposed to the sterile climate of the hotels. It was walking distance to my son's dorm and the football field so this is the perfect location for football games. The owners are the most delightful couple and her pumpkin coconut bread is to die for...... yes, the fridge was loaded with continental breakfast items which was a total surprise to us. The deck made for lovely evenings sipping wine and dancing under the stars. The firepit would have made for a fun night had the boys not been totally exhausted after the game. You might be turned away by the twin beds if you are a couple but please don't! The charm and hospitality make up for it and the sofa opens up to a bed so your student can join you if they have time! Besides, you are so exhausted after a day of local tradition and excitement, sleep will be welcomed by the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in away from home!
The pictures do not do this location justice as it is beautifully decorated down to the last detail. It's clean as is the surrounding grounds and neighborhood. The owners were extremely responsive and agreeable to our requests and went out of their way to communicate with us so expectations were met and exceeded. I would highly recommend this property. The town also has all the ammenities you could ask for with the best customer service I have experienced! Don't miss the library and the new student center on the campus.
I think this location would be really fun for two moms who want to get away for a girls weekend and visit their kids too!
One very large negative...... we had to leave! But we will be back! Thank you for making us feel like family. Your home is exquisite but it was your charm and hospitality that added to the memories.
May the Lord continue to bless you!
My son and I were looking for the perfect place to stay in College Station. We were looking for something close to campus since we were there for the Texas Grand Slam Tennis Tournament. Perfect location and amenities. Stores and restaurants around the corner. The hospitality of the owners is unmatched. We plan to stay here the next time we are in College Station.

2 night minimum stay
The football game weekend rate is $450 per night plus tax for both the upstairs and downstairs together. The nightly rate for Parents Weekend is also $450 per night, plus tax, for both upstairs and downstairs. We will consider renting one of the rooms for a discounted rate, depending on the season and timing and availability. The deposit is refundable only if we can rent those same nights to other guests.
The guest accommodations have two twin beds plus a single sofa bed, then a king size bed downstairs. The home is within easy walking distance of the Texas A & M campus. The George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Messina Hof Winery are also located in the Bryan/College Station area. You might enjoy spending some time walking in our neighborhood among all of the old homes. There is a park called Brison Park on Dexter, which is just 3 blocks west of Lee. This is a very nice park if it is not too hot. But, watch out for the flock of guineas.
