This is an immaculate fully furnished two bedroomed apartment, situated on a very well maintained development.

Villa Martin is a quiet and relaxing location whilst being close to all amenities, beaches and a few minutes walk from GOLF.

Can sleep up to six plus a baby as we do also supply a cot as well as a double sofa bed in the lounge, which can sleep two adults.

All floors are tiled and all rooms have fans to ceilings, ceiling lights and lamps.

The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, cooker & hob, microwave and various sets of crockery, pots pans and glasses. As well as a breakfast bar there is also a dining table.

The lounge has two two seater sofas and TV with a full range of Satellite channels,private wi-fi (bookable in advance)and DVD player.

There is a balcony to the front of the apartment and full private roof terrace.

All windows and doors have shutters and security grills.

The pool is large and very clean and private with showers and sun-loungers.

Nearby places to visit include the Baroque Cathedral and University city of Murcia which is 54mins & 64km by car. This is the 7th largest city in Spain.

Also the historic Mediterranean port of Alicante which is 79km & 55mins by car.

Closer by are the city of Torrevieja- just 9 kms away and the thermal mud baths at La Mata and salt lakes of Lo Pagan which are renowned for their healing properties particularly with rheumatic, respiratory, heart & dermatological complaints.

Also,there are the three top class golf courses, one of which- Villa Martin is approximately a 10 minutes steady walk from the apartment and offers excellent facilities.

We had a great time staying in your lovely apartment thank you very much for allowing us to use it, we would also like to thank you for the wine and olives which went down a treat on our arrival after 3 days travelling in the car. Zak, our Labrador very soon settled in and we found that everyone around the apartment was very friendly and helpful.



We hope that we might be able to return to Villa Martin again next year but first we have to get used to the cold weather here and finish our unpacking before we can think about another holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment.Being both in our 80's we appreciated the quietness at bed time when we managed to sleep relatively cool (considering the outside temperature ) by using the ceiling fan -which are also present in the second bedroom and lounge-air conditioning was also available in the lounge- however we preferred not to use this.The neighbours- most of which are either British residents or apartment owners were all very friendly.There is a lovely,clean private pool just a few minutes walk which is accessed only by key holders . There is a choice of restaurants in a nearby square about a 10/12 minute walk away but other than that a car is really essential.There was a spacious area above the apartment- however, we found this too hot and bright during most of the day at the time we stayed (July) but we're quite happy to use the more shaded balcony to the side.

Being the age we were,we were quite happy to spend long periods relaxing watching the TV which had many channels and also made use of the Internet which can be hired on a daily basis for just a couple of euros per day- this came in handy on a couple of occasions as we were able to contact the property owners with queries we had during our stay.However,for anyone who enjoys golf I would imagine this is a brilliant place to stay with a superb course only about half a mile away.

We thought this accommodation was very good value for money as we had compared the prices of similar properties nearby.

We enjoyed our stay so much and are now looking forward to returning when the sun is a little gentler in September.

Poor management for the property

We booked into the apartment for Friday to Friday and when we arrived was told via text that the apartment was not ready as the current people who we're renting it were leaving later that day so the owner ( who does not live in Spain ) arranged for my family to stay in a hotel near the beach . The hotel was not child friendly , stunk of drains and a long walk with 2 young children . The owner arranged for us to be collected at 10am the next day to take us to the apartment . 8am I get a text apparent still not ready will arrange for collection at 12 !!!! I was very unhappy by this point when we finally got to the apartment at 12 the previous holiday makers were still in the apartment packing ! No cleaning had been done . The neighbours were fantastic .... Cleaned the apartment for us ,

Arranged a travel cot and looked after our belongings so we could take our children swimming was a disaster start to our first ever family holiday , was very upset . Internet was advertised yet no login details , had to use the neighbours.

The apartment it's self when we finally got in was comfortable and just as described just very poor organisation skills which is a shame as it's a nice apartment and lovely area .

A relaxing and comfortable stay.

The quality and condition of the property was as described- pleasant,modern, very clean and well maintained.There were two bedrooms- the larger one to the front and smaller one to the rear.Bathroom had choice of bath or shower with bidet, toilet and sink.The lounge was quite large with settees - (one of which converted into an additional bed) tv- providing dozens of international channels.The kitchen which was well stocked with all utensils,cutlery and crockery which we needed and of course cooking facilities.From the kitchen and upwards to the outside there was a large sun patio with barbecue,table to seat six people,chairs and sun loungers.There is also a small balcony to the front of the lower floor.

The owner was very friendly when contacted and could offer airport taxi service if needed and was able to recommend a very friendly and helpful neighbour to the property if we had any problems during our stay.

There is a lovely private pool nearby - just a couple of minutes walk which is ideal for young families.

The apartment is situated about 9 kms from Torrevieja but nearer than this and before the nearest beaches there are numerous bars and restaurants either side of the main road into Torrevieja but if you don't wish to use a car there is a very lively and popular plaza about 10 -12 minutes walk away.

Villa Martin is a prestigous golf course development which is situated inland just South of Alicante, about a 45 minute drive from Alicante Airport and 35 minutes drive from Murcia's San Javier Airport. The resort is clearly signposted from the N-332 coast road at La Zenia and Campoamor, if accessing via the AP-7 motorway then exit at the La Zenia roundabout or if you wish to avoid a 3 euro toll at La Zenia then exit the AP7 at Dehesa de Campoamor and take the N332 which runs parallel to the AP7 to La Zenia.

At the heart of Villa Martin you will find the Villa Martin Plaza where there are many bars, restaurants, a variety of shops, a supermarket and cash point. This can be a very lively place and boasts a variety of cuisines.

The resort offers three excellent 18 hole golf courses- the original Club de Golf Villa Martin, the exclusive Campoamor and the newer Las Ramblas de Orihuela. Both are ideal for golfers of all levels. There is also the nearby exclusive La Manga Club offering a full range of sports such as tennis, football and golf.

Within a ten minute drive are a number of nearby Orihuela coastal resorts such as Cabo Roig, Punta Prima and Playa Flemenca and La Zenia. All are beautiful sandy beaches which carry the Eurpoean blue flag of quality and offer over 300 days of sunshine a year with an average year round temperature of 18-20 degrees C.

The nearby coastal town of Torrevieja which is surrounded by two large natural salt lake lagoons, offers a more lively experience. As well as having a maze of Tapas bars and restaurants there are also many fantastic beaches, gardens, squares and a large port and so is a great town to explore on foot. Whilst being a developing tourist centre Torrevieja has very much retained that special 'Spanish' feel and relaxed environment.

Pick-ups from and to both Alicante and Murcia airports can be arranged at competitive rates.
