Lovely Apartment In A Great Neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

Traiano House is a lovely and spacious apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. Our party of four guests found the apartment to be just the right size. The apartment was very clean upon arrival and comfortable. Stores, historic sights, the metro and train station are all within walking distance.

We stayed three nights but would suggest the apartment is better suited to those who plan to spend more than two or three days. You do need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and shower soap. We also had to ask the owners to bring us more toilet paper. The grocery store is close by and we purchased coffee and breakfast foods to have during our stay. Bringing in your own supplies might be inconvenient for those only needing a 1 or 2 night stay.

The owner, Silvia, greeted us upon arrival and provided a list of restaurants, bakeries, laundry facilities, and grocery stores in the area. She was also very helpful in giving directions to the subway and suggested other sites to visit.

Very clean, well maintained property in a great location near the Coliseum.

  • 4 of 5

The apartment looks just as pictured. It is well equipped and well maintained. One note for groups of adults who may be considering this unit is that it does not afford much privacy with regard to bedroom and bath locations. Only one bath is en-suite and one is on the opposite side of the apartment from the bedrooms. It would be ideal for families but not so much for unrelated adults. All in all however, it was a wonderful place to experience a part of Rome that the locals enjoy without being too far from the city sights.

Great Location and Beautiful flat

  • 4 of 5

I really enjoyed the location and the ambiance of the apartment.

The hosts were great as we arrived quite late our first night and they were there ready to greet us and help us with our massive suitcases.

The only suggestion I have is air conditioning, as the apartment gets quite hot in the summer. It was 35 degrees the weekend we were there and it was difficult to sleep.

Super clean! Really nice location and close to the Colosseum!

Host was very accommodating as we had a large family. Beautiful house. Balance was paid in cash which was easy. Easy parking outside of house for 7 Euro a day as we drove into Rome which was easier then expected. You will need GPS, I had mine on my phone and it went pretty good. Very spacious house, plenty of room! Thank you for a great experience!

Owner's Response: We always do the best that we can to make our guests' stay comfortable and thoughtless. So it's a real satisfaction receiving good reviews, especially from such a pleasant guest.

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 nights in June and loved it. It's a beautiful residence and very spacious. The 6 of us were able to spread out and not feel like we're were on top of each other. It's a great location very close to the colosseum and train station. Conrad (supermarket) was right around the corner and we made our dinners all three nights because we were so exhausted from touring around Rome and just wanted to chill out once we got back. No one had the energy to go back out for dinner.

Two downsides was no washing machine or air conditioning. It was in the mid 90's and there wasn't much of a breeze, especially the second night and we could not seem to cool off so most of us were awake the entire night. We moved the floor fan around and each bedroom had a ceiling fan but nothing was helping much as the warm air seemed to be pushed around.

I'd definitely recommend this place to others but would recommend it for the cooler months.

Great location - close to the Colosseum, a multitude of great restaurants, transportation e

  • 5 of 5

We just spent 4 wonderful days in Roma. We were able to get to most places by walking or just hopping on a tram, bus, metro or taxi.

The apartment was clean and cozy for our group of 7. There was more than enough room for us all to gather in both the living and dining rooms. Each evening we were serenaded by the nuns next door.

Just a few suggestions - be sure to have your own soap/ shampoo etc. We did run out of toilet paper and paper towels. Not a big deal, but good to keep in mind. We felt safe in the neighborhood overall.

Great place for a family trip or group getaway!

Overlooking the Park of Trajan, the property is just a few meters from the ruins of the Domus Aurea. Although immersed in the quiet of the park, in a two minute walk you can reach the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. At a distance only slightly greater are two of the main Roman basilicas, San Giovanni and Santa Maria Maggiore.
