This two-bedroom, one bath A-frame chalet in Sleepy Hollow has modern touches and views that will take your breath away. A two-hour door-to-door drive from Washington, D.C., or Baltimore, the updated cabin has a large deck with a brand-new hot tub to take in the nearly panoramic views in luxurious comfort. New hardwood and tile floors are installed throughout, and the unit contains a remodeled slate tile rain-head shower bath.
The cabin sits across the road from the 64,000-acre Sleepy Creek hunting and fishing preserve, offering miles of scenic hiking and mountain-biking trails, also with stunning mountain views. During warmer months, enjoy the community lake, or travel to nearby rivers in Harpers Ferry or Cacapon for tubing, kayaking and fishing.
Golf at The Woods Resort, adjacent to Sleepy Hollow, or get a massage at the new Sleepy Creek Spa. Fine-dining options and additional spas are a short 15-minute drive to Berkeley Springs. Outlet shopping is located in nearby Hagerstown.

My boyfriend and I rented the cabin for the weekend as an alternative to the crowded beaches in Maryland/Delaware. We knew from the pictures that the views from the deck would be great, but they were even more spectacular than we could've imagined. The cabin was very nice and clean when we arrived. We stopped at a grocery store on the way up so that we wouldn't have to venture out later that night. After settling in, we enjoyed the night views and hottub. The cabin doesn't have central air, but the air conditioning unit worked great. We were comfortable for the entire weekend. We brought a laptop with movies on it to watch in bed at night. The basement bedroom was nice and cool every night, so we slept down there. The bathroom was nicely updated (shower is amazing!) and even had a few toiletries if you happened to forget something. On saturday, we went to the town of Berkely Springs. It's a small town, but there is a great olive oil shop that has some very friendly and knowledgable owners. We bought a few items to marinade our dinner with for later that night on the grill. Do make sure to check out the Antique Mall and the state park. It's a really neat little town. We loved it and Instagramed a lot of pictures :)
My best gal pal and I had a wonderful summer weekend here. We loved hanging out on the porch and enjoying the view, and sitting in the hot tub (set at a lovely 92 degrees for the summer), and inside when the rain poured down. It's sized just right for a couple of besties, and we're hoping to go back!
The owner was super-responsive, too. When we arrived, the house hadn't been cleaned, due to a communications mix-up. But we called the owner, and she not only had someone stop by that evening, she even gave me a partial refund for the inconvenience. Thanks Erika! We'll be back!
We just returned from an amazing time at this chalet. As everyone else mentioned, the views can't be beat! The deck, hot tub, and view are perfect, and we loved how quiet it was there. The inside was very comfortable also. We barely used the living area, but the couch seemed comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I was grateful for the thorough and accurate descriptions of what we'd find so we knew what to take with us...and take what you need because it's a trip to get to a grocery store. The downstairs bed was comfortable and the bathroom was as nice as described. Erika and Tim were extremely responsive before our stay and also when we had trouble locating something in the chalet. They contacted us right away to make sure everything was good. We went during the week, which made it especially quiet on the mountain. We didn't see anyone on our hikes, and The Woods golf course was pretty empty and a great deal...lunch there was good also if you don't want to fix all your own meals. As others mentioned, I wouldn't want to share this space with anyone who wasn't a close friend or family because the bedroom areas aren't very private, but it could be great for a family as long as you don't have young kids (the stairs are steep). As described, there's no internet (which makes it more of a getaway), and our phones (Verizon) didn't work well either, but good enough to get a call or email out when we needed...with a little patience. This is a true getaway, and we had to extend our stay by a day because we really didn't want to leave! Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven.
The views alone are worth the stay. It is a quaint little cabin that is tucked way back in the woods to get enough of a good privacy factor yet close enough to civilization to not be completely roughing it. Add in that it is very clean and cozy and affordable and you have a winner. The nights we stayed there meteor showers we were able to view from the brand new hot tub. Morning coffee watching the sun rise, grilling meats and veggies, and just relaxing with the valley view were spectacular. Can't wait to go again.
This was a surprise birthday weekend getaway gift for my better half. Was exactly what we was looking for. It was away from everything but not too far so if we needed anything it was a 15 minute drive or so to Walmart. I truly enjoyed the Hot Tub with it's amazing view of the fall foliage. We plan on staying here again in the spring/summer.
The cabin was very nice. The view from the balcony is great, especially in the fall. Direction to get to the place were easy to follow. It was quiet and peaceful. An excellent place to relax for a weekend. The hot tub is nice as well. I found the beds comfortable to sleep in. Overall, I would recommend it as a place to stay. Also, there are hiking trails within walking distance of the cabin if you would like a nice walk in the woods.
